Also the look on Tom's face had to mean he let Marcus win, he grinned and was smiling, so he i think defenitley made him win.

Tom DEFENITLEY made him win. Even Marcus was questioning it, and Tom said "I told you im not that strong", when Marcus beat him Tom made a "Ohh" sound like he was trying to make out that it was a really tough arm wrestle.
Maybe Tom was asked to lose?? or maybe just for nice sake, he has Marcus win. Because by the vid there is NO WAY that Marcus actually won, Marcus knew it as well.

Later on he said "I think he let me win"

Tom simply isnt a kid and refuses to play Marcus's petty lets impress Noirins childish games!

I think Tom is embarrassed about looking too powerful with his big muscles.

He already knows that Marcus is hugely threatened by his presence. Beating him in all these physical tests would be just too humiliating for Marcus.

If Tom played to lose then he is a loser.

Tom is vain he would not deliberatly lose against the Legend, unless of course he is afraid of the legend, he played to win and lost. simple as.

Er, because he has to live with him for lord knows how many weeks! He already knows that he stands a much better chance with Noirin than Marcus does. he doesn't need to prove anything via silly little competitions.

Its called confidence. Marcus' constant braggings are a sure sign that he feels inferior.

I think Tom did this to make marcus like him maybe. I think Tom know sthat he's being bitched about, so he let Marcus win.

Or it could be (very unlikely) that BB told Tom to delibratley lose one of the events.

Tom let Marcus win it's obvious when you watch it,Tom aint stupid he has watched bb hasnt he so knows what Marcus is all about and could you imagine how Marcus would have been if Tom had beatin him,Marcus has made it hard enough for Tom to fit in so imagine if Tom had beaten him at a strength test how Marcus would react especially in front of Noirin.

I think theres MUCH more to Tom making Marcus win.

Plus just look at Marcus and Tom.
Tom is a body builder with a great build,and Marcus is a fat bast ard with sexual predator tendises.

Big muscles do not necessarily equal strength.

If you look at a power lifter they are usually barrel shaped and don't have huge muscles, where as a body builder has enormous muscles but are not actually that strong (due to their bigger muscles needing more oxygen).

So it is possible that Marcus could have beaten Tom fair and square despite appearances.

Marcus put everything into it whilst Tom couldn't care less. Tom doesn't feel threatened by Marcus so he didn't try, I would go as far to say Tom was a bit embarrassed for Marcus. If Tom cared at all he would of put his body into it more, not just sit there with a smile on his face.

Tom clearly let him win. Tom was smirking in the chair. And not to mention, Tom probably thought he had to lose the task to pass it, if you get what I mean.

Tom obviously let Marcus win, now Marcus will think he's the house hard man but if Tom tried he definitely would have won, even in the 2nd attempt though Marcus wasn't sat down.

It is blatantly obvious tom let marcus win. Due in large part to looking as much of an arse as marcus looked when he was challenging sree to press up contests and then telling noirin that sree was being a peakock. For this was more than a mere arm wrestle it was a macho 'who is more of a man for noirin' from marcus's perspective whereas tom has seen the outcome of chasing noirin and looking a knob outside. As much as i dont like the guy he was being clever.

Thats what i thought.

Did anyone see Marcus grin from ear to ear? He just had to win that task, even if he didn't keep his bottom on the seat the second time. He would have simply died if Macus had won.
