I really don't like people banging on about how Lisa is on the dole, so she is 'scum'.

Does anyone know how long she has actually been on the dole for? I've read in some places that she's only been on it for 4 months, others that she's been on it for years?

If she's been on it only 4 months, then it hardly makes her 'scum'. There are a lot of people who have lost their jobs recently and been forced to sign on.

If she's been on it for years, then she must be receiving some other benefit, because she wouldn't be allowed to claim Jobseekers Allowance for that amount of time. And if that's the case she may have an underlying medical problem which stops her being able to work, I am on Incapacity Benefit myself because I am unable to work, and would very strongly object to people calling me scum.

Dislike her for being a cow to Freddie in the early weeks, or because she's miserable and sits and smokes and does nothing else, but people calling her vile scum for being on the dole when noone knows the reasons behind it 100% are just out of order imo.
