Is is fair to people in society, that someone as stupid as Sophie will be rewarded for her thickness!! She obviously did not learn a single thing in school, does not even know where Great Britain is on the map of the world, yet she gets a "Boob Job" goes on BB and is set for life???
Is it any wonder kids are all "Fame Hungry" when they SEE this type of hypocrisy.

Why do the public keep glorifying THICKNESS?

I also don't think it's fair that someone who can kick a football a long way gets paid hundreds of thousands of pounds a year... or that someone who's pretty, but can barely carry a tune and has never written a song can be a "pop star".

I completely agree with your last line above mate. Spot on. Various folk have said it's "sweet" or "cute" that Sophie doesn't know X, Y or Z. NO IT'S NOT! It's a disgrace, it's shameful, it's embarrassing and it's a sad indictment of our education system. That she revels in her thickness only adds to the cringe-factor. She is an un-educated AIR-HEAD with a drinking problem typically representing what is wrong with todays younger generation, a young girl with low self esteem in that she thinks with the aid of plastic surgery it will get her thru life.

I dont think she has deliberate malicious side to her even though at times she HAS shown a different side to her representation on the show and yes of course she has a personality, my previous comment was purely a flippant remark but her personality is minimal and almost transparent.

As for the OP's original statement whether its fair that she makes loads of money despite her low intelligence is redundant,we all have to make it thru life one way or the other with what we are blessed with and I honestly wish her the best..she'll probably do better than most people here with success.

I have to point out that I don't particularly dislike Sophie, my point is that the glorification and defence of her stupidity is what really riles me. It speaks volumes about the voting public, as much as it does about Sophie herself. Makes it look like we love dumb, shallow, vapid and insubstantial while distrusting intelligence, substance and depth. Makes me cringe.:puzzled:

It is a peculiar thing in our society how we will suppose a financially successful man or woman must somehow be 'intelligent' and we actually 'bestow' that characteristic in and on them and even funnier is that they will react accordingly and even begin to live and 'be intelligent',
but,
No, plenty of wealthy and financially successful people are no more and often less intelligent than any average person. They just so happened to be born in the right time at the right place and for reasons outside their control just happened to be prepared for a great opportunity.
Yes.. they were 'intelligent' to take advantage of that opportunity and then run with it.

Sophie would not be any different than thousands of '100 thousandaires' who just so happened to be standing in the queue when, it just so happens, a request was made for what they were capable of.

Further more, the longer I live the far less impressed I am with intelligence.
I probably hate stupidity more than ever but 'intelligence' is proving to be something I over-rated and can be as much a detriment and doesn't really tell me whether the person can or will do right things, good things or helpful things.
Many intelligent people are fukkers who make problems for the rest of us.

What would happen anyways. If Sophie Won that money?
She would swim it around in the economy.
If she is 'dumb' then two good possibilities are as likely to happen:
- She is so dumb she just spends that money immediately and within weeks the more intelligent people in our society (hopefully the better kind) now have the money.
or,
- She is recognized as being so dumb that there is no way in hell her friends and family will let her try and spend it. She has enough to hire an excellent financial planner who spends and invests more 'intelligently' than most of us ever could.

This year thousands of stupid people will inherit much greater sums of money.
Thousands more will win that much for playing a lotto ticket.
Thousands of dullards will just so happen to 'float' into high paying management jobs.
Thousands of stupid people will 'fluke' on some financial investments and convince themselves they 'made a smart move' but in fact it will have been sheer dumb luck,
and,
About 100 men will get millions and millions of pounds for being able to kick a ball into a net better than anyone else.
An American pop-star living in London will make 200K for walking into a recording studio for 2 hours (mostly resting) and 'singing' while a sound engineer filters it through synthesizers and modifiers. Later she will blow that money trying to capture African children for pets.

Let me say this - 3 months in that house would be fukking brutal. How much would you charge to have all of your bowel movements, urinations and lunar cycles on the toilet bowl done in front of a camera?
That alone is a deal breaker for me but at least that is deserving of some pay. That alone.

Hey.. I am not saying this is a concentration camp. I am just saying at least they put in 3 months 24/7.
Sophie will have made C4 well over 150 thousand by the time this is over.
At least she did that much!

Oh and one last thing to consider:
Sophie, Lisa, David and all of them are making massive contributions to the British economy right now. What they do even brings money INTO the British economy from overseas (yes, BB is that big) but they are definitely a GDP increasing machine right now generating plenty for economic recovery.
So,
Not sure what everyone else here is doing to stimulate the economy but if its MASSIVE then you can join their ranks too.
