Ireland ranked best quality of life country.
Ireland is the country where you live your life the best according to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s quality-of-life index 2005 with a score of 8.333/10. The survey may be 4 years old, but it's still accurate today. The 111 countries and territories included in this survey were judged on: Health, Family life, Community life, Material well being, Political stability and security, Climate and geography, Job security, Political freedom and Gender equality. First runner-up is Switzerland (8.068), third place goes to Norway (8.051) Here is the survey. Do you agree with this result or not ? |
Yeah I read that in school a few years back, we were all cheering!
Irelands best craic |
I learnt it today in Business English. I was very very surprised Ireland is first. I'd have said either Denmark or Switzerland. Congrats then !
|
Righty-ho then...
|
YAY!!! Go Ireland, Go Ireland!!!
|
Seems to be a lot of pro Irish propaganda on this forum. Just saying... ;)

I posted this because first I was surprised with the result, I'd have never guessed in a million years Ireland would be ranked as it and also because I wanted to get some reactions from Irish and non-Irish members there like if they feel it's the truth, or it's exaggerated. |

I think 4 yrs ago when the survey was done it was probably true but i don't think it would be as highly ranked today!
|
I'd agree the quality of life is great, maybe top 5 now though not first.

If anything its gotten far better today than 4 years ago, Irelands progressing, so how excacally are you trying to say that the country went from.. Good (2006) to Bad which is now.. :joker: Thats a wank of a statement, and your Irish you should know its bullcrap Even if that survey was done right now, Ireland would still be top. |

The Accents are far from bad, Many people love the accents, I find it funny how I was on Xbox live making fun of American Accents and then one of them said "I love your countries accent" :joker: Just goes to show, your like the only one that thinks our accent is annoying. No offence to the FMs from England on here, but if anything.. Your accents far more annoying than ours.. really pisses me off. And the Rain isnt bad, its accually relaxing, and we do get Sunny Days! Rain is great! |
