Who would you like to get number 1 this week?

The top 5 atm;;

Leona Lewis - "Happy"
Black Eyed Peas - "Meet Me Halfway"
JLS - "Everybody In Love"
N Dubz - "I Need You"
Sugababes - "About A Girl"

Which of these would you like to reach UK number 1 this week? Or will you be buying a different song?

Firewire 10-11-2009 06:41 PM

I hope Britney Spears - 3.

It's hovering in the top 10.

But I know Leona will get it

Shaun 10-11-2009 06:42 PM

Happy.

Or anything but those other 4.

Princess 10-11-2009 06:43 PM

Happy! Will this be the 4th X Factor number 1 in a row? Alex,Cheryl,JLS and Leona?

InOne 10-11-2009 06:43 PM

Good god!!! None of them! What the hell has happened to music?

Twilight 10-11-2009 06:47 PM

None of them are that good really, So idc.
I am gonna buy Paramore - Brick by Boring Brick next week though<3
it won't get to number 1 though, people in the uk seem like RnB crap more.

Scarlett. 10-11-2009 06:48 PM

Meet me Halfway

Wildcat! 10-11-2009 06:49 PM

N Dubz or BEP

Both are great songs, N Dubz deserve it more and will probley Reach Between #1 and 3
with Leona being Number and either N Dubz or BEP Being Number 2 or 3.

Ironic? OK! If it makes you feel better.LOL

I have said this a moth ago, and the trend is still the same. The UK chart, is pretty much dictated by the xfactor. Whoever is on, is gonna be #1. It doesnt matter who they are, how god, how good the song is. It does not matter. Its like brainless robots.
I like what I like, regardless of whats on TV!

LemonJam 10-11-2009 06:53 PM

I've got a fair point, before he died did you think MJ was the best performer ever or did you only start thinking that after he died and the media kept telling us he was?

It's the same principle.

I like BEP's. I like Leona Lewis. But the BEP's song this week, is craap. If youre honest with yourself, you know its craap.

People are entitled to what they like, BEP's new song was already in the top 5 last week so it was only gonna do better now.

What about after he died when 10 of his songs entered the top 40 and he had about 7 albums in the album chart? Were people sheep then or is it different?

Adamw92 10-11-2009 07:08 PM

Happy

Ross 10-11-2009 07:08 PM

Exactly, once again Ama's argument is hypocritical.

Of course they were! How else would you explain it? Its because its what in the news, big popstar died. People who were actually MJ fans, didnt have to go download his songs, when he died. They already had them. I havent even bought anything MJ since he died, apart from going to see his movie documentary.

So yeah, they were sheep then too! And?

Were the people who went to see the movie sheep? And were you complaining that those downloading his songs were sheep?

All I'm trying to say its a tad hypocritical if you're going to accuse some people of being sheep for downloading songs from XF yet you don't mind if its MJ songs/movie.

It was obvious that it was gonna happen with MJ, just the same as its obvious the xfactor craap performances are #1. How is it hyporitical.
The movie, This is it, is never before seen footage, from his concert rehearsals, which people already got tickets to go see, and was already a huge upcoming event, before he died. Nothing wrong with that. Even if he didnt die, it would still be a big movie. Not as big obviously, but the fans would still go watch that.

HeatherTWx 10-11-2009 07:17 PM

Although i lovee BEP's song i would like JLS or N-dubz to be number 1.

Shaun 10-11-2009 07:18 PM

the comparison to the Michael Jackson hysteria's a bit of a loose one, really. The death of one of the greatest ever popstars, and a controversial public figure, was always going to boost public interest in his music and other exploits.

It's not really fair to compare it to "whatever performs on The X Factor will be #1 or a contender".

Wildcat! 10-11-2009 07:19 PM

Dont worry about it! People just dont want to accept, that they are actually lead by the nose, and don't really have their own musical taste these days. Plain and simple.

Zac 10-11-2009 07:23 PM

Bad Romance.

:conf: I really don't get this kind of attitude towards pop music. Pop, meaning popular, if you don't like it then don't get on a high horse and act as if your choice in music is somehow better than somebody who enjoys pop music?!
