Ignore list
 

I hate that you can still see when someone from your ignore list posts. The reason why I ignore someone is because I don't want to see them... AT ALL.

Is there nothing you can do about this to make this more efficient?

Edit: Oh and I can see their post if someone has quoted them!? Ridiculous!

The only time I ignored people was on the old forum, and it would say something like this post can't be displayed because you're ignoring this user. Does that not happen now?

It does, but I don't even want to see this.

I agree it used to annoy me too.

I used to have four people on ignore because they really got on my tits during BB, I would get soo mad at their posts.

I like to see what everyone posts. I just ignore them in my head (Rool eyes at them)

Yeah, if i didnt see peoples posts, i would always be wondering what they wrote!!

Mostly everyone is tolerable and I can stand reading their posts without wanting to jab my eyes out. You've got to be really "special" to make it to my ignore list.

Winds me up as well, on some forums you don't get any of that. When you ignore someone you want it to be as if they literally don't exist anymore.

Agreed...I'd rather pretend they didn't exist.

Think the ignore list is to prevent PMs and Visitor messages only.

The forum program isnt really capable of removing posts for individuals based on you preferring not to see what stuff they post as it stands. Mind you its helpful to see what others post as it confirms the reasons why you would ignore them etc.

Posts are blocked out Terry. I think Enid would rather not see the message stating this either though.

Ah it will be fine when she is made mod she will just ban the people she doesnt like, then reban them when the ban expires. End of Problem.

I can't keep people on ignore for long, I just get too nosy.

It's alright for a while, but then I think what's the point when I can blank their posts anyway.

I never understood that either, I only ever had one person on ignore, because they would wind me up so much, but having them on ignore was pointless, because i could still see everything when it was quoted...obviously i cant have people on ignore now...

Also you can remove their posts and go under the pseudonym of Lady de leter

I only ever put one person ignore but took them off again after about a week cos I'm so nosy and hated not knowing what was being said:blush:

I'd rather ignore them without letting them know I'm ignoring them.

I dont want to be able to see if they have posted, I mean they could be insulting you right there and you would be like in the same thread and not have a clue, I'd rather just ignore them completely as if they arent even born.

Do members know when you have them on ignore? I didnt think they could know. Unless you told them, of course.

No they are oblivious unless you inform them. :)

Actually I think if you are on someones ignore list then you can't see their profile properly.
