Anyone know poker? FAO Mark...evidently... :)

How normal is it to be screwed over with pocket aces 11 times in an hour and a half?!

This is, other people having the aces, and hitting trips 8 times out if the 11...

Vicky. 20-01-2010 08:33 AM

AND AGAIN.

FFs thats 3 in a row now...

Was 200 quid up, only started with a tenner...now have nowt.

William hill does NOT use RNGs...not possible

InOne 20-01-2010 09:27 AM

What site do you go on? Do you do tornaments or just cash tables?

Cash tables, and it was william hill.

Im positive that the odds of that happening are like a million to one...just the way it happened, straight after each other, as soon as I hit £200 profit...plus all the trips...am still so pissed off now. Played like 5 hours to get that money.

Bad luck :S Cash tables are pretty risky though really, but you got very unlucky

Makes me question the RNG though...it just seems so...impossible, for it to happen that much in such a short time, Ive had my share of bad beats, I know they happen, but I have never ever seen anything like that in my life.

Yeah... I know. Gavs just woke up and said the same also, but not in those words

'********* fix that is, stay the **** off that site'

lol

danda012 20-01-2010 10:54 AM

Do the other players get like loyals loads or like you have a flush and they have two-pair and they only have one out on the river (assuming Texas Hold'Em is the game) and they hit it?

I used to go in Pacific Poker $30 tornaments, only had to finish in the top 3 about of 10, used to make quite a bit.

That happened a questionable amount of times too thinking about it...but didnt stand out as much as this million pocket aces s***....as it was spread out, and I know that that happens.

Royal Flushes are supposed to be very rare.. If you are seeing them often then something is definately wrong.

lily. 20-01-2010 10:59 AM

You should ask Mark about it.. he's the professional Poker player..

Professional Poker is the **** they play on Channel 5

The Elite is the home to speed run competition for GoldenEye 007 and Perfect Dark.

Wouldn't call that pro

:joker:

lily. 20-01-2010 11:10 AM

I call it 'pro' if someone can make enough money to live on by playing it.

InOne 20-01-2010 11:11 AM

I dunno if he was on TV, but I did know he makes enough from playing to not have to work full-time, so I'd say it's more than just a hobby lol.

Mr Rayson, 21, a computer science student at Oxford Brookes University, has got lucky by winning a place at the table in the world's biggest poker tournament.

He will be one of 6,000 contestants using skill and bluffing ability to try to win the World Series of Poker, which begins next Thursday
