Ooo thats's good. Did not know that also spelt "naive".

Yeah it is rediculous the amount of money it costs to purchase a bottle of water.. Best off taking your own where ever you go if you are thirsty like a dawg you have no choice!! I heard it costs like 0.1p for a glass of tap water? lol

Tom 02-03-2010 11:29 PM

Tap water is minging

InOne 02-03-2010 11:31 PM

I don't mind tap water, I always just stick my head under the tap

Patrick 02-03-2010 11:31 PM

Its good when your out running about and need it because you cant run about with a sink in your hand.

But yeah, I wouldnt go out of my way to buy one when I have tap water.

30stone 02-03-2010 11:32 PM

Yeah see i used to like bottled water all the time, but it does just cost to much, i have 2 bottles of water in our outside firdge all the time, 1 for the gym 1 for work, just tap water in lucozade sports bottles..

The thing with bottled water is convenience.. sometimes im out, dont want to drink fizzy or something with sugar, then you havent much other choice..

Stu 02-03-2010 11:39 PM

Not only is it a borderline retarded waste of money but it's kicking the nuts out of the environment. Especially in America where the highways are littered with empty bottles of water.

It's really the perfect example of marketing gone mad. Sell someone something they already have.

Shaun 02-03-2010 11:45 PM

I just fill up a bottle from the college water fountain.

Kerry 02-03-2010 11:53 PM

I fill water bottles up with tap water though I admit I can sometimes taste chemicals in it. Reminds me of swimming baths. Doesn't put me off though. I'll just add a dash of juice

Not when you're tap water is as disgusting as mine it isn't. It tastes kinda stale ... although its fine in tea etc

For drinking on its own I just buy those 17p 2 litre bottles from Tesco, and I get 1 bottle of Volvic a day but thats usually when I'm out somewhere so obv can't take the sink with me

30stone 02-03-2010 11:54 PM

Yeah i do the same with my bottle at the gym..
Just fill it up when im done.

But everyone bought one at some point... i forgot my water when i went out down the river and it was burning hot, went and bought 3 litres lol..

Kerry 02-03-2010 11:56 PM

I've bought it in the past though would refuse totally if it was over a quid

Beastie 02-03-2010 11:58 PM

My Kitchen tap water tastes brilliantly. However the water upstairs in the bathroom doesn't..

You're not meant to drink bathroom water

Princess 03-03-2010 12:03 AM

I always say that about Evian, lol. I never buy bottled water, tap water is fine and if I'm out I'll buy a juice or whatever.

I think you can have drinking water converted to your bathroom sink too..

But obviously it has to be done so 99% of houses wont have it.

GypsyGoth 03-03-2010 12:09 AM

The tap water in this house tastes odd, again the same as Tom if it is boiled and say in my coffee, its fine. But when it's cold, it seems almost too metalic or something.

In most houses kitchen/drinking water comes from the loft and bathroom water from the boiler

Thats what I get. Especially if it's a freezing cold day

True.

Princess 03-03-2010 12:19 AM

Water from the kitchen is supposed to come from a reserve and water for bathrooms is from the water tank in the attic, hence why you're not meant to drink it,it could be covered in dust or whatever.

Yeah thats what i mean though you can have your cold tap on your sink converted to drinking water..

Mostly because people are lazy during the night and cant be assed to go downstairs to get some i imagine..

And on another note i cant wait for summer now, will be back to having 4-6 litres + a day

Shasown 03-03-2010 12:31 AM

In most houses cold water supply in kitchens is direct from the mains, the cold water upstairs is from the tank in the attic.

You can buy water filter jugs that sit in the fridge, some of the decent ones will filter out metallic compunds and cheical tastes.

Beasty! Bathroom sink water is recycled toilet water!

Jessica. 03-03-2010 12:42 AM

My tap water is lovely. I live in a hard water area so the water actually has a taste and it is lovely, very refreshing. The water in my sisters house tastes like chalk though :yuk:

The water in the cold water taps in my bathroom tastes yummy, I think the dead birds in the cold water tank help.

My worst was in bar/restaurant just next to Covent Garden - we had my pal's son who was 14 with us - AND THIS IS 3 YEARS AGO..........we had beers/bought him the requested bottle of sparkly water with meal

The water was £10 -oh FFS - tap water bartender next round!

sooty 03-03-2010 05:14 AM

Bottled water is just a rip off - for gullible people daft enough to pay for something that is clean, healthy and considerally cheaper from our taps.

Enid 03-03-2010 07:50 AM

I drink water from my bathroom all the time. Tastes no different.

Those that say their water tastes nasty, you probably live in hard water area or you need your pipes a good scrubbing. Limescale is horrible. We had some of it in our very old kettle and wouldn't get filtered. It was like we were drinking liquid metal.

Zippy 03-03-2010 08:04 AM

Tap water tastes better when its ice cold. I fill up a small bottle and keep it in freezer for a while. In the summer I fill my bike bottle up and freeze it totally. Then when you go out in the heat it slowly melts and you get refreshing ice cold water.

Bottled water is a total rip off. Its a well known fact many of these companies fill these bottles with tap water! Like, duh.
