Do you like where you live..?

I Love Where I Live! London is the best city ever!

Kerry 06-03-2010 02:32 AM

Yes I adore it

Stu 06-03-2010 02:35 AM

Can't stand Cork. Like a lot of Ireland it's full of old fashioned, counter progressive, know-better-than-you, ignorant dolts. Look at the people we elect to government for christ sake. As soon as I can get out of this country, I'm gone and I won't be coming back. Ireland has failed an entire generation.

The place is saved only by that whimsical, desperate sense of humor some people have that comes along with trying to survive in a sea of shit with your head held high.

Oh, and the dope is way too expensive. We get the poorest quality smoke in Europe. But like most other things in Ireland, we deserve it because we put up with it, take mediocrity as normality, and don't speak up.

Jessica. 06-03-2010 02:36 AM

I love Limerick tbh.

Twilight 06-03-2010 02:37 AM

Nope full of chavs, and its so boring sadly:(

InOne 06-03-2010 02:39 AM

No it's the worst place in england

Princess 06-03-2010 02:39 AM

I like the town where I live but that's about it. Ireland is too small and quiet for me,I'd love to live in London.

Stu 06-03-2010 02:43 AM

I'm surprised at the London love. I have been there and it's my idea of hell. It's like an overcrowded waiting room outside Satan's torture chamber. Loud, obnoxious parody of itself, teeming with irritable subcultures and students. Worst of all it thinks it's awfully cool. Which is not cool.

Yeah.

I'm going to end up living in the trees, aren't I.

Or Cork.

Manchester is better than London.

Princess 06-03-2010 02:49 AM

I've never felt more at home anywhere than I have in London,it just has this great buzz, plus it's the only place I never get homesick. Manchester is great but I've only ever been for tours so I've never witnessed the city non-Take That crazy.

Berlin for me I reckon. It's always had one of the best electronic music scenes in the world and it's got plenty of weird bits. And I am mad for anything German. Save for a certain controversial workers party ...

InOne 06-03-2010 02:51 AM

Well i'm going to London in April so will make my mind up then lol

You know I'm only messing sweetcakes. I had so many great nights in Cork.

I haven't .

The place is dismal for nightlife. A few good pubs but the clubs are laughable. All teeming with underagers, all blaring bad RnB and chart music.

We don't even have a large capacity music venue FFS. We get the Marquee once a year and that's it. And boy what a laugh that is. Getting crushed in a dingy tent while the sponser urges you to buy more overpriced beer.

What is that dingy one that I was at then, with all the levels? Really crappy place but good fun?

Shaun 06-03-2010 03:01 AM

Hmm. It's pretty to look at, and I've had a lot of good times here - but there're virtually no job opportunities in Torquay and whilst being home to Fawlty Towers and WKD is rather lovely, being the 2nd biggest area of teenage pregnancies isn't.

The people are pretty great on the whole though - not too many chavs, pretty liberal-minded, I don't feel persecuted for being a teeny-bit fan of the penis... and the shopping / activities side of things is pretty good. Could be better, but good.

I'd just like to spread my wings really. I've lived here my whole life (even in the same house) and want to see the world.

The Pav? Just off the main [Patrick's] street?

Kerry 06-03-2010 04:06 AM

I hated London. Most unfriendly place I've ever been in my life. I like people who smile in the street and say hello

_Seth 06-03-2010 04:41 AM

No, it's a disgusting shithole. :)

dirtyvileHARRYuk 06-03-2010 05:28 AM

Raph 06-03-2010 07:21 AM

yes! I love Cwmbran <3

Sophii3x 06-03-2010 08:26 AM

London is SO over-rated. I've been loads and I'd actually hate to live there, too crazy and most people are so rude!

I don't really mind living in Swansea, but it's so boring sometimes, there should be a bit more to do. Night life is good and we have the most beautiful beaches (like 10 different ones) in the Gower. I don't think I could ever leave, it's always been home and I get so homesick when I go away!

Chels 06-03-2010 08:49 AM

i ****ing love cardiff.
you have your sh*teholes such as ely, grangetown and canton which you need to stay clear of or you'll get mugged by the chavs and drug dealers. i love the city centre and my area so no complaints really! plenty of pubs where i am and my beloved cardiff city, i'll never leave!

Braden 06-03-2010 08:59 AM

Northampton

Maia 06-03-2010 09:08 AM

I like living by the sea, but I hate the paticular town I live in atm. It's just full of old people really...:p

ILoveTRW 06-03-2010 09:21 AM

No

Niamh. 06-03-2010 10:54 AM

Harry! 06-03-2010 11:10 AM

Yes I do love where I am from. Just wish more poeple visited the city.

Patrick 06-03-2010 11:14 AM

Oh and yes I do love were I live, its wicked.

Cant beat it.

30stone 06-03-2010 11:16 AM

Love Reading.

Couldn't live anywhere better..

Enid 06-03-2010 11:21 AM

I love city life. I love the hustle and bustle, I love the night-life. I'm definitely an urban child at heart.

I don't think I could live in London though. Even that was too much for me. Sheffield is perfect. Steel city!

Really?

*Crosses out Cork on my places in Ireland to visit list*
Well I dont agreee with you that Ireland is old fashioned because from what I've seen its quite modern, but then again it probley does depend on which part.

This more or less describes the North of England. I live in an area that thinks the Sheffield and Manchester accents are "posh", which isn't good for me as I speak in RP, lol. The nearest city is Sunderland (although strictly this area is part of Durham) which is a cultural black hole. If you take a look at the classical section of CD shops, it's all Lesley Garret, Paul Potts and maybe a "Best of Mozart" album. I once made the mistake of travelling by train in the city (if you can call it that) on a bank holday... chav neanderthal central.

Moving to London might be nice, but it's probably just as bad if people like this are any indication.

Anyone with a shred of decency would have twatted him.

Tom 06-03-2010 11:31 AM

Manchester >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> London

Manchester isn't overcrowded, smelly, full of unfriendly people and has personality

Theres no grass in London
