It's just another good awful MTV 'reality' show filled with talentless and dull pretty people. I don't get why people love this crap so much.

But it's just the same as all the other crap MTV puts out, the only difference between this and the likes of Lacuna Beach/The Hill/Whatever is that the 'cast' consists of stereotypical latin people. It's brainless and dull and I just do not get it and to be honest I'm grateful.

How are they different? they both feature pretty people who we're meant to care about because they're pretty and (probably) rich. Both are pretty much staged, even if they aren't staged people will put on an act to gain attention. ALL MTV reality shows are the same thing but with different names.

The Hill is obviously staged but I have a feeling that the Real World producers didn't staged 9/11 and hurricane Katrina in the Chicago and Key West seasons

I got no clue what you're talking about and nor do I care, there's still around 12 seasons left accounted for after that. It's all the same thing, you haven't provided me anything to prove otherwise.

I've watched bits and pieces and it's obvious that the cast members act their way through it and they do so badly, anyone who really thinks ANYTHING coming from an MTV Reality show isn't staged is incredibly naive. I know what I'm talking about, I've done studied Media in depth for 3 years I know how MTV works.

You still haven't provided me with anything that shows me that not all reality tv shows on MTV are the same thing.

What in the name of all that is **** has that got to do with proving the Real World is not fake?

Sure it's not fake in the sense that there is a script, but it's basically the equivalent of getting your mates drunk, putting a camera in their face, and telling them it's for YouTube.

As for what I am watching on television that is better than Jersey Shore? I hear Salvation TV is good at this time of night. Or I might just stick with my usual weather channel.

Again, how is that proof that the show's events are not exaggerated? Of course real stuff happens in it and real commitments pop up, because they are real people who presumably live in the real world.

Okay that's probably not faked but can you prove that the majority of it isn't? and that still doesn't tell me how Real World is different to other MTV reality shows, I still see vapid pretty people being uninteresting.

it is not fake if anything there reactions were real to the footage they was shown to them. MTV never made out that they were watching a live stream.

That don't even make sense. Your logic is appalling. You have no idea what what is fake and what's not. Some stuff is obviously completely fake yet you whimsically watch on under the presumption that the rest of it has to be real when it's clearly a load of exaggerated trash played up for the cameras.

Perfect type of viewer for the show, really.

to be honest none of you can judge because no of you have even seen a full episode never mind a full season, watch a full episode and then i bet you wont have the same opinion

How is watching a full episode meant to prove it's real? I doubt an elephant walks past the screen at random intervals with 'Note to viewer : This is fake' written on it's back.

I can't enjoy something that isn't genuine and is clearly exaggerated. Where is the fun in that? Even is something wild happens in the show my brain would be telling me obviously these guys wouldn't act like that with the cameras off.

So no, I won't watch it. I don't need to. It's not my thing. I've never been drowned from head to toe in **** but I can safely guess that's not my thing.

I have seen episodes of this before ILM, it was years ago though. They all play up to the cameras, they all want to pull a Heidi and Spencer. Every person in these shows are just carbon copies of each other. Most of the people on these shows are just actors trying to find work. Judging from these shows, it's no surprise. They can't act. NOBODY acts like the people in these shows do in real life They're all created to fool naive teenagers that OTT teen dramas happen in real life. It's all a load of crap made to tie in with the latest teen craze. When OC was around you had Laguna Beach, The Hills was created before Gossip Girl but it's spin off was basically trying to be it.
