is this just sick or what ?

this debate was on gmtv this morning < and it got the joe thinking < but i just woundered are you lot on bigbrother message board sick of my poems yet lol dont reply please lol

sickie's

this is all to do with your up bringing,

your own self respect as your reputation is in your head and ringing.

people that are not self obsessed,

will leave there company and colleagues stressed.

i was never late for school when i was a kid,

punctuality was installed by my mother and 100% never slid.

yes of course there are days when you are ill,

but to be able to work through man-flu is a life skill.

i think we need to go back and re-teach,

make lateness and punctuality unacceptable and improvement is in reach.

do you agree with the joe or am i off my nut,

am i spoiling our sickie culture and leaving us in a rut.

i will end with a famous poem quote,

Joe is one sick man, no truer words have i wrote.

No im not sick of your poems they are always great.

And Yes its ridiculous how much time people have off for ridiculous things..
Even go doctors just because they feel sick.

My attendance was always above 97% at school, and had a couple of years where is was 100%

My punctuality in Year 7-9 was about 90%, in Year 10-11 it was 96%.
And in college since September its been 100%.

I used to think in Year 7-9 it was all about bunking off, but i enjoy college and dont want to fall behind in work.
People make up the most stupid reasons to not go in.

The only time i have skipped school is either when I have a high temperature, food poisining (happened twice) or went to the dentist/doctors.

I only bunked once since Year 10, but in Year 7-9 i bunked probably about 3 times a month.

Hi Joe, Hi everyone.

I think timekeeping is very important.
It is more like self respect and others.

Also I am very lucky in health and hardly take sick off.
Last time I became ill was in 2000 millennium night because of flue.

dirtyvileHARRYuk 27-03-2010 09:22 AM

sooty < can i ask you a question ? are you over it now a decade has passed ? you must have had a bad load of the flu lol only kidding mate lol

Phlip hates your poems passionately and rarely read your threads if I see you've made one.

dirtyvileHARRYuk 27-03-2010 10:41 AM

thats right phlip,
who has a small parsnip.
you dont read any of the joe's post,
but your name on my thread must have been done by a ghost.
with the stacey.x behind me i have a crew,
followed by the great whobai whos stronger then a snooker cue.
my whole i am starting to dig,
because phlip i am scared of you as you are so big.
my crew dont stand a chance and have even seen the light,
so whombai and the stacey.x joined you and turnt this into a sour fight.
this message was simple, the joe must be put in his place,
and i accecpt my nut case poetry is a disgrace.
as for whombai and the stacey.x they remain in the joes heart,
and as soon as big brother begins, all bad feelings forgot and the love will start.
have a loverly day phlip and thanks for your positive look,
the joe has been caught by the phlip hook.

WOMBAI 27-03-2010 10:45 AM

Pretend daddy you mean wee pretend daughter!!!!!

So silly at workplace I used to work at........all the people who were married/had children had photo frames of their spouse/kids on the desk. As me and Lesley (girl I worked with) weren't married, we went to shops one day and bought photo frames with the picture of pre-arranged family in. Soon all the solicitors in next department of workplace started doing this too, then it became a whole building thing and the shops got sold-out of photo frames carrying the same image

Joe
We might had watched the same programme that morning.
They said if we had cold or flue do not go to work, it will only spread germs in public. We should not worry about how our boss or colleague would think of us if we had sick day/days off.

I hate people cough or sneeze in the packed train.
Why do not they stay home rather than spreading germs.

But if I had cold, I would go out to work. I feel guilty to stay home just because I sneeze or cough. I really have to think which one is guilty.

Joe.
would you surprise If I said to you I only had sick off twice since 1979?
The first one was in May 1989. I had allergy problem by strong perfume and my face ballooned and I was so embarrassed and could not go out.
The second one was in early 1995. I had an operation and had to take weeks off. I can not remember how long but a doctor's recommendation.
Luckily that time I was working in a large company in City so company employed temp for my replacement.

Since then, I had never a single sick day off.

(It was during my annual Holiday last time I had flue.
Why I remember was I wanted to go to see the fire works at Thames the special millennium new year eve but I could not because of this flue)

Luckily my dentist opens on Saturday.

Also I started to drink cider vinegar water about 5(?)years ago.
I used to have cold sore all the time but since this vinegar water, the cold sore stopped appearing completely.

One thing this vinegar water does not work is lack of sleep.

Last December I did not sleep well for month and caught flue and even cold sore appeared.

Good sleep, well balanced meals, cider vinegar and positive thinking is a combination of a healthy life.:)

Claymores 27-03-2010 02:04 PM

Will Cider Vinegar go up by 10% more than inflation on Sunday sooty?

I'm being daft again - it's my part-time occupation.

I do not think so, Claymores.
The cider vinegar is in the part of food section, not alcohol.

Then this question is from Claymores, I have to read twice, any hidden meaning. (it sounds like Chancellor's Budget. Read small print before give our verdict. ha ha)

You are testing me, aren't you, Claymores?

Mind you, other thread, It seemed I was the only one who did not get your wit.:laugh2:

I feel Stu is laughing as well. (He knows I am a bit ,,,,:D.)

Claymores 27-03-2010 08:23 PM

Your Chancellor also said he's going to have "Cider" redefined during his Budget speech.........that'll be interesting. Does the process of making Lightning White even involve apples at any stage?
