Smoking; Sexy or a Turn-Off?

:)

Princess 27-03-2010 07:03 PM

I hate smoking with a passion. Although cos nearly all my friends smoke,I end up in smoking areas a lot,but yeah generally turn-off.

Stacey. 27-03-2010 07:04 PM

complete turn-off. its sick! :yuk:

Harry! 27-03-2010 07:04 PM

Hate smoking so much. Would never date a smoker.

Enid 27-03-2010 07:08 PM

Sexy.

MrGaryy 27-03-2010 07:09 PM

total turn off, wouldn't date a smoker if I had the choice.

xDramatick 27-03-2010 07:09 PM

Major turn off.

WOMBAI 27-03-2010 07:17 PM

Definitely a turn OFF. The sense of smell is very sensitive - can't stand the stink of stale smoke - makes me retch! Makes someone smell dirty - same goes for stale booze - revolting!

Enid 27-03-2010 07:20 PM

The smell is pretty nasty. But the act of smoking, I find very sexy. I don't know why,

Firewire 27-03-2010 07:21 PM

Total turn off.

Twilight 27-03-2010 07:24 PM

I don't care. i'd happyly date a smoker or non-smoker.

Jords 27-03-2010 07:25 PM

Well really I dont care, I mean, if somebody I really liked smoked it wouldnt turn me off her, but in general ew.

*mazedsalv** 27-03-2010 07:44 PM

Defenitley Turn off. Even if i did smoke, i would still think it was a turn off.

Smithy 27-03-2010 07:57 PM

Although id maybe date a smoker, i wouldn't find the act of smoking a turn on

Callum 27-03-2010 08:03 PM

Turn off, can't stand it.

Turn off MAJOR turn off!

Enid 27-03-2010 09:23 PM

Johnny Depp has aged very well and has smoked his entire life I think?

hennessy 27-03-2010 09:24 PM

I just don't want to be seen as a quitter
and Depp has smoked in utero and his wife is french which basically makes her a tobacconist

I guess that depends how much longer they would like it to last! That choice just might be taken away from them - especially, unfortunately, for her!

At 50? If it hasn't done so already, it won't now. Think he is just extremely lucky.

Nothing like wishful thinking!

Depp smokes three a day nowdays. His chances of developing illness or skin ageing is virtually nil.

There are litteraly thousands of combinaitons of mental, environmental and nutritional things that can age your skin far worse than a few smokes a day. I hate when people pretend smoking is the only way to live unhealthy.

Smoker with a great diet > Non smoker with a poor diet.

Of course there are other causes of being unhealthy - but smoking is one of the biggest! And smoking only a few cigarettes a day poses considerable health risks!

Stu 27-03-2010 11:09 PM

Three cigarettes a day will not pose considerable health risks. Health risks, sure, but not the hyperbole you are sporuting.

And it certainly wont age your skin - a trait exclusive to heavy smokers.

You see the lovely thing about statistics like that is they are so damn interchangable.

Smoking three cigarettes a day can increase your risk of heart disease by three, right?

Like how eating one bowl of healthy breakfeast cereal can decrease your risk of heart disease by two, right?

Like how not exercising for half an hour a day can increase your risk of heart disease by two, right?

Like how drinking over the limit can increase your risk of heart disease, right?

Like ... I think you get the picture. Thousands of these scenarios exist. Which cancels out which?

Again, people like you focus on just the smoking with silly statistics like these. Besides which my point was about skin ageing. I don't think we have to worry about Johnny Depp looking ugly anytime soon, despite the inherent risks him smoking poses to your fun filled existence.

Enid 27-03-2010 11:51 PM

People are so worried about the health risks involved with smoking, drinking and drugs, they've forgotten anyone, anytime, anywhere can get cancer. **** it. Let yourself go and enjoy life.
