You'll just dismiss it as lust, which I can assure you it really, really wasn't...but it happened to me with my ex best friend last year.

It all comes down to how mature you are and whether you can understand the difference between love and lust or not, which I'll admit, at fourteen, not a lot of people can do, but I could.
