What was your favourite Harry Potter book, and why?
Which one?
|
Deathly Hallows. By a mile.
I actually waited in a queue for that at midninght at my local tescos >.< |
Farhenheit 451 - reason is self explanatory
|
I'd have to say Goblet of Fire, just because its the one where the **** finally hit the fan :p
|
we read the book: Goblet Of Fire at my Primary School.
so i just voted for that one :) |
Deathly Hallows. The only one I've reread multiple times...it's very tense, and a good ending.
|
I love both the book and movie of Chamber of Secrets the best.
|
Order Of The Phoenix. It's very fast paced, has a lot going on in it, introduces loads of new plot elements, and there is lots of Lucius and Bellatrix.

Deathly Hallows was good too, though that was because it broke the cycle of the old books |

:p Nice thread lol
I havent read that many books tbh, I was going to read the 2nd Book but stopped after a few chapters. I think if I seen the movies then theres not much point in reading the books, although I may start reading The Goblet of Fire tonight tbh. If I do get into reading the books, im worried about reading the 7th one incase it spoils the entire movie for me :( I have never read a book and then watched the movie, its always been watch the film and if it was good then read the book. |

I voted Order of the Phoenix, It's the one I've read the most and I loved the story and the ending and it's just epic. It was close between Phoenix and Deathly Hallows.
|
prisoner of azkaban is my favourite book, dunno why though. i just like reading it more :L
|
Deathly Hallows <3
|
Deathly Hallow's. You can just imagine the huge fight scene at the end

Goblet of fire :)
I only read the first 5 books, I lost interest after that |
Im inclined to say Deathly Hallows and although its one of my favourites, I would have to say Order of the Phoenix.
But Deathly Hallows is not far behind OotP. |

On what grounds?
They're imaginative, they're interesting, they're well-written and they're pretty much the only series that have kept today's generation with an interest in reading (the only other example (though a bad one) I can think of is the Twilight series). |
The best thing about the books are that, to rape a cliche, they are an entire universe like, man.

Sounds like a counter-argument with no coherence. If you reply you may be equally dismissive without any basis.
|
Not read them all but so far The Prisoner of Azkaban
Currently reading Order of the Pheonix but I'm hit and miss with HP books and tend to put them down and leave for weeks |
Deathly Hallows is a great book. Chose that.

The HP films are on TV every Saturday at the moment. I need to read the book quick before I see it on TV!! Trust it to be like a doorstop

I like how the books 'mature' as Harry does
