You should let us all vote for the next lot of mods. You can even pick the candidates if you want...

The problem there would be though, that it would just be another popularity contest...rather than who is best suited for it :/

It wouldn't be a good idea. It'd be a nice idea if it wasn't for some members who would ruin it.

Mods should never be chosen via a popularity contest. Recipe for disaster and undermines their purpose.

I think people who would be interested in being a mod, should put there names forward, & then people should vote who they would like as a mod.

Being a mod can be a dirty business. Your line of thinking that it should be tied in with popualrity is just way off.

Agree with Vicky, I mean I would probably be best suited for Mod, Admin even but it all comes down to popularity and I wouldnt be voted enough times sadly.

It's difficult to be a Mod and have friends on a forum. Some people manage to balance the two, but most don't.

This is by far the worst suggestion you've ever made Joe. The forum would be utter chaos if Mods were decided that way... (even more chaotic than it is already..) ;)
