It doesn't mention race.

Whats with the 12 month range? as far as I know aids doesnt have an expiration date.

Criminal charges should be brought against him - and compensation claims! However, anyone having casual sex should have enough sense to protect themselves - they also bear some responsibility if they didn't!

All blood and blood related products are routinely screened. However if you were infected within the 12 months prior to you giving blood, it is possible that your blood may pass initial screenings and show as infected.

Consequently you could pass the infection on through the blood. Its not so much a definitive time frame for incubation rather a time frame which was doubled as a safety margin.

Not that I'm excusing the man who knowingly infected people with HIV, but these women had unprotected sex, when we all know the risks involved in that. If they had used a bit of common sense, they wouldn't be in this situation.

It's the same as blaming drug dealers when someone dies from taking drugs. You knew the risk, you still did it, and now you pay the consequences.

Yes, it's tragic, but it's not one-sided.

It's a terrible thing to do, but I wouldn't even call it tragic. I'm sure ARV drugs are widely available in Austrailia.
