Gary Coleman Passes Away

Coleman's family has asked fans to pray for him after he was admitted to hospital with a brain haemorrhage.

The 42-year-old actor, who is best known for his stint on TV series Diff'rent Strokes in the 1980s, was admitted to Utah's Provo hospital on Wednesday.

He is on life support and unconscious.

His family said that Coleman's condition worsened yesterday and that he slipped into unconsciousness.

Coleman has lived in Utah since 2005, when he came to star in the movie Church Ball, a comedy based on basketball leagues formed by members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Been confirmed on Sky News that he has passed away

Celebrities have paid tribute to late actor Gary Coleman.

The 42-year-old died on Friday after suffering an intracranial haemorrhage during a fall in his Utah home.

Jamie Kennedy remembered working with Coleman on Bowfinger and said: "A pop icon and here he was a damn security guard. He was humble and sweet. Sad."

Paula Abdul wrote on her Twitter page that she was "so sorry" to hear of the Diff'rent Strokes star's passing, and sent her condolences to his family.

Blink-182's Mark Hoppus commented: "I hope that in heaven Gary Coleman finds the peace that eluded him on Earth, and finally discovers what Willis was talking about."

Alyssa Milanno, Nick Cannon, and Melissa Joan Hart also lined up to add their wishes for Coleman to "Rest In Peace", while his former Strokes castmate Charlotte Rae remembered him as "so loving, so charming" and called him "the real star of the show".

Athlete Serena Williams revealed that her "heart goes out to Gary Coleman's family". Lisa Ling wrote fondly: "Goodbye Arnold."

"Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be actors. R.I.P. Gary," added John Stamos.

Holly Robinson Pete wished the actor "no more pain", adding: "Rest with the angels Gary Coleman xoxo."
It really happened

RIP Gary

Now that little fellow has died, maybe it will stop Jordan and Peter Andre from arguing all the time about who gets to look after him at half-term.

Sorry couldnt resist, half of the people wont even know who he was. The other half seem to have forgotten about him appearing in court numerous times for beating up women, including his wife.

Having noticed how poor the Gary Coleman jokes are, i think the secret is preparation. So i've started researching Alex Higgins ready for next month

RtooDee2 29-05-2010 02:35 PM
