Guess Which Housemates are Siblings?
 

Some of you may remember BBUSA did a season where a half-brother and half-sister (unknown to them at the time) were both entered as HMs and then eventually led to discover they were Siblings while inside the house.
OK.
Rumour is that BBUK may have done this and it will be revealed midway through the season.
**I do consider it 'rumour' and a little 4th hand but still worth considering**

I would just point out something and tell me if I'm crazy but take a look at Govan.
Now take a look at Ife.
Now take a look at Ife if she is wearing Govan's hat.

(and no, this isn't because they are black.. quite seriously look at their specific features, noses, chins etc)

Anyways, I don't consider this a really great inside tip so don't whale on me if nothing comes of it,
but,
I did think it was a kind of interesting and I admit I spent about 15 minutes quite seriously comparing faces!

Ben and David...

I think those would have been the last two I'd guess were the secret siblings.. then again... maybe I need to see them side-by-side.

The funny thing with the BBUSA Secret Siblings is that they REALLY did look like each other and even though they were only 'half-siblings' you would guess they were totally brother and sister heh.

Yes, I thought that too about Josie and Ben. They could be related.
I did not really buy this rumour either,
but,
I have to admit that although, at first, I wouldn't have said Govan and Ife look alike - when she wears his hat (she has a few times) the similarity is definitely there and just in head shape, facial expressions when they smile.

Not bad. It made me think how great it would be if a few weeks go by and BB announces the surprise secret sibling twist:

IF it did turn out that Ife was Govans long lost half-sister then it would explain at least one unanswered question:
Why Ife was picked as a Housemate.
Because so far I am getting zero from her except wig expertise and what products to use for hair or lipstick.

Didn't Ife say she was adopted?????

That was the thing that really made me want to take this thing a little bit seriously.

-Ife was given to a white family as a baby. She has met her natural mother (i think she said) and I believe she mentioned not knowing who the father is.

-Govan I honestly don't know or didn't hear him explain why he was raised by his Grandparents or if he knows who his father is or what?

Anyone catch any of that on Govan? Why doesn't he live with his parents?

Oh yes!!! I forgot about him saying that and he didn't say why on launch night anyway when he mentioned living with his grandparents. They do look alike, I keep getting them confused when she doesn't have a wig on:joker:

That would be a bit risky, what if the siblings tried to get together in the house and didnt know they were related, ahh.

For that reason, I would have to say it would be unlikely for it to be male/female siblings. I don't think any of the others look alike though!

I keep hoping to hear him mention something more about his family other than he is very close to his grandmother.

Ife has his hat on again and honestly I can be watching live feeds for 20 minutes before I realize its her and not him.

Yes, BBUSA was highly criticised when they did the secret sibling twist when some did mention 'what if' scenario of the two hooking up or getting romantic with each other.
That didn't happen though - maybe it is a genetic type thing but neither expressed any attraction to the other.

There have been a few programs (I think at least one on 4) about brothers and sisters accidentally hooking up, apparently (according to the program (that I recall) - so who knows how accurate it was) there is a high chance, sort of like a natural bond or understanding with each other can develop.

Certainly we inherit traces of our parents, mannerisms and the such like, these things can bond people together, and that could be the start of something...

However, im sure these programs were on channel4, often during their mini freak seasons that they seem to have with freak programs under the guise of documentarys.

(too fat to walk was a personal favourite of mine - especially when they were allowed to eat what they wanted on day one, and about fifteen minutes into the walk, they stopped about 8 foot up a hill for some mars bars)

That was added a little plausibility to it all for me - Channel 4 WOULD do such a thing and would be the people who have already put effort into this on some other documentaries or programs about reuniting long-lost relatives etc.

Yeah I do enjoy those ones which are presented as a sort of serious 'documentary' but you get the idea its more for shock or freak value more than anything.

If it turned out Ife and Govan were siblings I can already imagine it being revealed as a very important and special BB episode where we are learning about difficulties and serious about reconciling families.
A special charity or help-line would be shown after for those wanting to learn more.

I love it when they have those numbers at the end. Its almost the last ditch plea for 'no, we care here at c4', or which ever channel its on.

'If you have been traumatised by tonights program, here is a number where you can speak to an unqualified helper'

Channel4 really is the master of the sick comedy documentaries, they can churn them out at no rate.

However, if you have ever seen the documentary 'Young @ Heart' (It was on the 4OD site a while back) that was a fantastic emotional documentary that they showed (obviously made by someone else I guess) - I seriously recommend to check that one out.

I can't believe though that there are two siblings, it would have required (I guess/I hope) a bit of research into the housemates and the odds of them both applying, in the same year and BB finding out just seems to slim to me. Not that Im saying its impossible (as clearly they did in America) but what are the odds that they would put that much creative effort into something over here.

Remember, this is our BB with crappy secret tasks, twists which never seem to work, and tired, old rehashed ideas season in, season out.

Maybe Mario and Shabby. He said she would be blown away when his "secret" was revealed and he got really upset when Shabby put him up for eviction and he started talking about not having any family outside.

Ben and Shabby - that would be hysterical.

Ife and Gluke (as I like to call him, because he reminds me so much of Luke) NO WAY!! Sorry El Proxi, can't see any resemblance there whatsoever, possibly from the back of Ife when the lighting is bad, but features, colouring not even close! But Nathan hmm yes I can see a resemblance to Ife, plus he looks like he has some black in him.

And looking at all the pics together, Corin & Dave?? I dun no....
