Ivory Coast v Portugal and Brazil v N.Korea

Disappointed with today's games so fingers crossed for tomorrow!

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 12:54 AM

How can you not be excited for the bastians of football New Zealand?

Shane Smeltz is probably the best striker in the tournament

MissKittyFantastico 15-06-2010 12:55 AM

I thought that was Asamoah Gyan

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 12:55 AM

Thats why i said probably..

MissKittyFantastico 15-06-2010 12:56 AM

Turning your back on Ghana already pfffffffft

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 12:57 AM

Smeltz and Gyan would be better than Torres and Villa

MissKittyFantastico 15-06-2010 12:58 AM

You've been drinking too much of Wizard Dave's jesus juice

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 12:59 AM

I think you will find the correct name for it is Butterbeer

Novo 15-06-2010 01:00 AM

The finest butterbeer you will ever taste

KG. 15-06-2010 01:02 AM

Brazil will do a Germany and walk all over Korea.

I predicted that it would 3 - 2 to Portugal, but I'm cheering Ivory Coast on and I actually kind of think they will beat Portugal, but I won't change my prediction just in case

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 01:07 AM

I've got that song that plays as ITV coverage goes or comes back from a break in my head

Sing sing Africa Sing sing Africa!

arsenalforever 15-06-2010 10:59 AM

Brazil i here are very defensive minded now with a good attack
IV vs Portugal should good to se if Ronaldo can do it for portugal in a big tourment

Brazil should walk it

30stone 15-06-2010 11:22 AM

Would love to see ronaldo put 3 in past brazil and get top of the group!

Anyway, im more excited about tomorrow if im honest.. cant wait to watch spain.

As i hate brazil.

KG. 15-06-2010 03:23 PM

Fuck, Eboue is on 7 points already, should've swapped him for Cannavaro.

KG. 15-06-2010 03:35 PM

God I fucking hate Ronaldo.

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 05:00 PM

Another useless day of football so far

Everyone will go OMG BRAZIL ARE AMAZING!!! when they beat Korea like 6-0

Well, it is Korea theyre playing

Shaun 15-06-2010 05:41 PM

lmao, I'm shocked Korea managed to qualify - but then again, I've seen teams like China, India and Pakistan play.

Usually it's Iran, Saudi Arabia or Iraq that qualifies from Asia along with Japan & South Korea.

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 05:42 PM

They couldn't find a training camp so they trained in an open gym..doing all there exercises dodging peoeple that were using the gym normally

Trivia: Who scored the last WC finals goal of the 20th century?

Who scored the first WC goal, of the 21st century??
no google :)

Shaun 15-06-2010 05:52 PM

world cup goal of that would be 2002, so erm...hosts were South Korea and Japan, and therefore one of them would have played first. My guess is South Korea, and since they managed 3rd, I assume they won it, and scored first with...Park Ji-Sung?

Good guess, but no! Actually, until germany 06, the openiong game was with the defending chAMPION. SO the host didnt open then.

But what about the last goal of last century? :)

Shaun 15-06-2010 06:02 PM

oh that's weird. Last goal would be France vs. Brazil, so erm...I remember Zinedine Zidane, but i don't know if he was last.

And in 2002 France did really badly, IIRC they lost their first game to Cameroon. So...I need to brush up on Cameroon footballers haha

Locke. 15-06-2010 06:27 PM

Was Senegal that beat France

And I think it was Diop that scored? And then put his shirt on the floor and the whole squad danced around it?

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 06:27 PM

LOL @ crying Korean

Shaun 15-06-2010 06:38 PM

aaah you're right david.

and lmao I saw that Nate, bless him

KG. 15-06-2010 07:11 PM

Ronaldinho and Pato should be there, this is dire from Brazil.

King Gizzard 15-06-2010 07:12 PM

I'm glad theyre not winning

In a weird way, I'm bored of them doing so well

KG. 15-06-2010 07:42 PM

Bloody hell Maicon, what a goal, lucky or not. There's a few more points for me :D

Feel pretty sorry for Korea now though.

Shaun 15-06-2010 07:42 PM

:( poor koreans. they're going to get killed when they go home.

alc09 15-06-2010 07:53 PM

Every team I have watched so far with the exception of the Krauts, look like they cant really be bothered, its ****ing bizarre.

**** ball?
Vevuzelas?
Too heavy a schedule for their clubs?

Who knows but this is different to any I have ever watched.

KG. 15-06-2010 08:14 PM

Korea score

Well deserved though, he'll be spared.

Shaun 15-06-2010 08:15 PM

What a goal! Come on NK!

Jase 15-06-2010 08:15 PM
