Am I Only One Who Dislikes Ben?
 

I did not like Ben when he first entered the house! Then he proved to be exactly how I expected he was like. Now he has Mario and Dave around his finger, and his ego is off the roof. It's kinda lame Mario and Dave follow him around like dogs. Kinda liked Mario, not so much anymore!

Ben always talks down to people. He was very demeaning to Sunshine and Shabby. He is very judgmental, self absorbed, egotistical, mean, insulting to people in both subtle and direct ways, he bitches too much, he is not good looking, even though he truly believes he is. Ben obviously had a few surgeries on his face, now he looks like a disfigured Ken doll. He is so full of himself, acts like he's better than anyone else, which totally irritates me.

Ben has no ability apologize for any wrongdoing. He thinks he's never wrong. His apology to Sunshine was total bullsh*t. Sunshine was too smart for his subtle demeaning remarks. When Ben kinda forced himself to apologize to Sunshine, he couldn't help himself and threw some more insults. He kinda reminds me of Rex from BB9.

No I can't stand him neither. His voice goes through me and I find him very patronising and hypocritical.

Didn't he say he wouldn't get on with Sunshine because he "likes foie gras and veal"?

Mario is doing himself no favours, following him around like a puppy. It's obvious Ben isn't hot for him and barely listens to what he says.

They will ratchet up the hatred for him over time, but for now - as usual - they are concentrating on the women in the house.

I don't find him offensive or bitchy or mean at all! I honestly think he is a genuinely nice guy. Sunshine accusing him of being nasty to her was just bonkers but he is too nice to tell her so, and instead pussyfooted around her, apologising and stuff..
(and I think he is kinda hot! :blush:)

He has turned on Sunshine because she is one of the few people who has dared stand up to him. Wimps like Mario and Dave will just be sheep.

Sunshine needs to lighten up and find a sense of humour! She is overly sensitive.

She does have a sense of humour, a self depreciating kind. Ben's humour in contrast is always aimed at other people.

Not at all, it was Ben who was following her around she wanted to avoid him. He did the same with Shabby (I don't like Shabby but I have to admit that).

I have been saying this a long time, but I am glad others are finally getting it.

Mario is the same, both are slimey contrived manipulative snakes, it's why they are such good friends.

I think he's playing the game more than misunderstanding the situation. He tries to provoke and then tries to twist it around on his victim claiming they started it.

That's the good thing about BB (and this forum)... We all do see things differently. I think I'm a good judge of character though so my opinions are more correct than everybody elses! :joker:

IF you are going to condemn someone at least be accurate,I have seen Ben apologise several times for 'upsetting' the very fragile Sunshine,lol,she needs to lighten up and stop taking things the wrong way as some people who watch it do and as for looks Sunshine is not exactly an oil painting is she? It should not be about looks anyway but i can see why some shallow people think it is,whenever i have seen Ben comment on someone it has been truthful,but they do say the truth hurts,so how about being honest you dislike him because he is talks well,is well mannered and probably has a bob or two,so he doesn't float your boat,does it matter?and as for the likeness to Rex,what a compliment Rex was the best HM ever,imo,along with Freddie another 'posh' one who got evicted because he was way above the peasants !!!:joker:

Big brother is a very unusual and stressing experience. It's very easy to say someone is 'fragile' but maybe you would be fragile if people are bitching about you in an enclosed environment and then the producers play crowd chants that make out you are the most hated.

Ben incidentally was crapping himself on eviction night, asking alot of questions about what happened in the process of eviction. And he wasn't even up lol.

Well if it is so stressing maybe she should not have gone in there,Ben likes Sunshine but is just bemused at her reactions to some things he asks,there is no need at all for her to react so over the top and Ben is not the only one having problems with her,maybe he should just ignore her,but she'de complain about that !! as for the crowd noise,that is NOT Bens fault and yes he was worried about eviction as anyone truthfully would be,don't forget people stupidly booed him before he even got in the house,I did like Sunshine but her over reactions to things have turned me right off her and boy dont she GO ON and ON and ON?

Other people get along well enough with her. For example Dave, Mario, JJ, Steve, Govan, Corin, so did Rachael (before she left). Some of the others shut themselves off so it's hard to really get to know them anyway, such as Nathan, Ife and the Irish one. But Sunshine has even tried to get to know them, having a long chat with Ify for example (listening patiently to all of Ife's wannabe ambitions).

Ben goes on and on, he talks about himself all the time and loves the sound of his own voice.

i dont dislike him, i HATE him!

he believes he is above everyone else and i cant wait for him to get booted out!

I really like him, however Ive noticed him be a bit devious lately so he might go down in my estimations if he carries on!

in your opinion,in mine it is Sunshine that goes on and on,about the same old same old,she is like a stuck record and we all know how annoying they are.

Ben is pretty socially awkward really. He can't judge how people will react, and therefore asks odd questions. Then he can't help but laugh, cause he has no idea how he is meant to feel.
