Can't see him dropping Rooney but he should at the least sub him at half time if he performs like last time. I'd actually start him on the bench to teach him a lesson.

Apparently he's playing Defoe up front with Rooney so maybe he thinks he can get round them with pace. He'll need to play Milner if he's continuing with the ridiculous Gerrard/Lampard partnership in midfield though.

Oh dear, that means he'll play Gerrard out on the wing again. Mental.

The players just need to realise that whatever team Fab puts out it should be good enough to beat a team like Slovenia (just like it would of been good enough to beat usa and algeria)

Dear god, why is the man so stubborn? Like they were saying on the post match punditry earlier, Stevie G always ends up drifting into the centre, he doesn't run back and defend and he and Lamps together in the middle just doesn't work!

Defoe up front with Rooney is not so bad if that's what he's starting because he made a big difference when he subbed Heskey for him the other night, but really the formation needs to change ffs! Capello seems so inflexible.

Agree though Nath, if the players go out there with desire then it shouldn't be a problem whatever the formation, who he plays, but it's worrying that he keeps making the same mistakes.

I hope crouch plays!

ah that would be even better. because from 3.30 it takes me until 4pm to get home, so i'll miss some. :(

I know I've said before that I see Crouchy as a bit of a super sub but after Rooney's shocking perfomance last game I'd actually be happy to see him left on the bench and start with Crouch. No player is bigger than the team.
