He deserves to make a bit of money. Its not gonna be life changing amounts ffs.

Once youve been on BB it can be difficult to just go back to a normal job. People treat you differently...like a celebrity. Albeit a minor one but people are easily impressed when they see somebody off the TV.

So the money comes in handy until the fuss dies. Plus Govan wasn't out of the closet in his town so he could get hassle for it. Including abuse. So he deserves some financial reward.

He's all over the Kinsey scale like a rash.

So.. I don't begrudge even housemates I disliked to make as much money as they can from doing BB whilst the 15 mins and offers are there:).

Good on Govan if he has came out to his family and friends, he should only care what they think and not give a damn about what anyone else thinks.

Or he could get a job... radical idea, I know.

If he didn't want a fuss he shouldn't have gone on the show.

Every year you get these comments "good for him if he makes a fortune" and sundry other stupid sayings - they all go on BB to make a name and MONEY for themselves!

Well, like I said, its not easy when youve been on TV. I dont think anybody realises how much their life changes after being on a show like BB. They get stopped all the time for autographs and pictures. Suddenly they believe theyre a big celebrity. In their own little patch they are. Which can then make them self conscious about going for normal job interviews...especially for lowly jobs.

They need a period of adjustment. So the money comes in handy.

However this is it for Govan..... after this week of interviews I reckon that will be it. I bet he might leave the country for a bit if he gets abuse in his home town but I don't think he is interesting enough to get anymore or different work after the "bb interviews" or of course.. "him coming out" interviews.. by next week.. no one will care for Govan.... Rachael is more lucky I think.. she will be around for a few months.. work will shrivell up for her then she will only end up as a model in magazines for like once a week or something. Rachael should have some vocal singing lessons.. she could be in the public eye for a few more years if she really converts herself properly into a "Beyonce lookalike". Her getting a half decent singing voice would do her some good too.. might make her a few extra bob.

will get the most work ...abt the singing lessons she said on Live from studio 5 someone once suggested it her but she said Beyonce's voice is just too hard to impersonate because it's really powerful

Well somebody like Rachael will do well because she is already in the business. So the TV exposure can do her nothing but good. She may not become a big star but she will certainly end up with some serious dosh...and a boost to her lookalike career.

With Govan you need to zoom in and look at it from a more local angle. He will go back to a normal life. But in his little patch he will be regarded as a big local star for years to come(imagine if you had a BB HM living on your street, you'd be very aware of them and see them as a big local Tv star). Celebrity isnt all about National tabloids, TV and magazines. In everyday life most BB HMs of past still get pointed at and bothered when theyre out shopping. It takes a lot of adjustment. Some despise it. I think Govan has the personality to embrace it and it may well help him come out a lot more. But his little life will change for better or worse.

Yeah Govan will be known in his home town and that.. okay.. if he is lucky he could get a radio gig in his "local town" but other than that I think that is it for Govan.. he was just a random housemate who gossiped a lot.. he is not a big enough bitch to keep us all interested for months on end. He will soon fade away in the next few weeks.
