His attack on JJ, whatever you think of JJ, was vicious and went straight for the personal simply because his silly pride was hurt. These moments where he loses his self control and the real Ben comes out are very telling imo.

It's good to openly see what nastiness lurks under that calm political front he maintains as a facade.... Wasnt quite the bumbling toff in all that... more like the arrogant elitist.

jj gets really annoyed when people say things about him but he has no propblem saying hurtful things to others

they are kind of doing the same thing. Although, JJ was in the wrong this time when he threw Ben out of his bed when he was sleeping. JJ seems to be one of those jokers that we always meet, the ones who take the mickey out of other people, but when its the opposite, they become offended and defensive....you know who you are

I'm beginning to think most of the hate for him is secretly down to him being posh. He joins in the banter like everyone else, yet just because he's posh, it comes out wrong, and he makes it sound like its serious

This thread isnt about JJ though, it's about Ben.

He really showed his inner snob colours in that little spat imo, it's great that we got to see him when his self control was weak and he wasnt pretending (for once).

i see your point,ben didnt seem to take it well but in all honesty since ben knows as we do,that john james is quite happy to have a sly dig at another house mates expense,he should surely be expecting some of the same in return... like yesterday he started berating dave's belief's while he was reading the bible,dave took it all in and then had a little dig back at john and he seemed butthurt from then on...

in this instance,he started taking pop shots at ben,then when ben retaliated he didnt seem to like it too much..just as he didnt enjoy it when he had a go at josie,for picking fun at him,but he's okay to do belittle her? although having said that im still not too sure about ben,he spends alot of time with mario,then he's out with dave saying he's not that witty or smart.. guess its early days but i have a feeling he could get worst if he starts thinking he's popular..

It's like you all can't condone or justify his behaviour so you have to try to deflect the conversation away from him by talking about someone else.

I am not protecting JJ here, I am talking about Ben's elitist nasty reaction to having his pride pricked by simply having people laughing at him as a result of a funny practical joke.

He is a lot different when him and Dave sit together sn1ggering taking the p1ss out of others though... he seems to have no trouble laughing then.

okay first of all ease off,this isnt a personal attack on you,no ones apologising for bens behavior,least of all me... i dont even consider him a favourite of mine,all i would say is you take the two that it involves,you've got jj who antogonised ben which is what caused ben to become riled up in the first place..

since we all know jj likes confrontations,and likes to rile people up,you cant blame someone for reacting..its like saying i rocked your jawside,but your not supposed to be mad at me.. if i caused you to become angry,its not your fault you react is it? only reason jj is being brought up is every single situation he starts,he has a problem with housemates reacting back. so its not deflecting its more just taking everything in to consideration..

I dont see much difference between the Ben v JJ argument and the Josie (and he gollum shaped parasite) v JJ argument really except it was nice to see Ben stand up for himself for a change. It also showed JJ up as being fake because the JJ he portray usually would never be able to hold an argument with Ben for over an hour. JJ is very load and inconsiderate in the bedroom and has been since he entered the house and Ben was really really funny.

It just shows what a spiteful lot they are,and even nastier for someone to find that funny!!

Like I keep saying, this thread isnt about that other argument, or any other situation, it's about how badly Ben reacted to a simple practical joke with hostile personal snipes.

At least some of us can see the good and bad in ALL the housemates,SOME on here are so smitten with one housemate they will not have a word said against them,even if they are in the wrong,something they keep accusing Bens fans of.
