John has a perverse attraction to Josie
 

I was left open-mouthed at JJ's very strange behaviour last night. At first he was trying to make up with Josie, then when he didn't get his way he went really weird by storming to the Diary Room where he stayed for well over an hour, sulking and crying.

He came out, then went back in again and was preparing to leave until Josie was called in for 'marriage guidance'!:joker:

Jeez, that wasn't marriage guidance, that was some perverse mother/son sexual kink going on. Talk about Norman Bates. 'MOTHER! MOTHER!':joker:

Even worse was when I turned on my telly at 1am and found JJ and Josie had made up again, with Josie nursing a sad JJ in her busom!:shocked:

Someone remarked on here last night, JJ was so close to being breast-fed!:joker: Bizarre, but perversely true!!:joker:

Just the circumstances of the house, he wouldn't be interested in her outside.

Why wouldn't he. Everyone assumes because he is a good looking guy he would only go with good looking girls. And I think thats what he struggles with. That's why he attacked Racheal so bad to prove that he wasn't that one dimensional. Oh and by the way he was completely right about her, has anyone seen the shamless way she is trying to get her and Nathan together as a couple because that means better deals. I think that is another thread alltogether.

Am I the only here that think Josie is a pretty and rather sexy woman?

Certain aspects of her behaviour annoy me but she's certainly attractive so why would his attraction to her be 'perverse' or a 'mothering' thing? Why can't you people just accept that not everyone finds the same thing attractive.

Not to mention that maybe her curves and the little extra weight she's carrying are even part of what attracts him. I know truck loads of guys who go for women with her body type.

That aussie "mate" is nothing but a white trash bimbo. Even he is from australia, he is more like some hick from some deep south small town from Texas (even i don't hate Texas).

Apparently we are genetically predispositioned to find mates (or potential mates) who share similarities with our parents or siblings.

He likes Josie a lot - and I think, like a previous poster pointed out, that perhaps he is having an internal 'battle' with himself about whether she is 'girlfriend' material - as she doesn't conform to the sterotype of what look, and therefore image, a girlfriend should have! If she were slimmer - he would have no hesitation. He is too influenced by what others would think, I think!

It could be argued, however, that Josie is just as superficial as John - going for the only good-looking guy in the house! She is clearly influenced by his looks - so can we condemn him for being influenced by hers?

Then why is she always mentioning the new "Sheila"? Because she is jealous and afraid he'll turn his attentions towards Keeley. Last night had little to do with crab eyes and five chins. She exploded because she was trying to protect herself in the long run by trying to push him away. It's a shame because everyone else except from Josie can see he is infatuated and cares about her deeply.

Exactly. But Josie also says she never gets attention from guys on the outside. So she is flourishing in the attention of JJ. As to why she keeps forgiving him.

em, well honestly, I don't think watching people in there is a fair way to judge how they behave in ordinary life. He may be acting the way he is now because he isn't coping well with the house situation, it is after all a social experiment. I think I'm a pretty normal kind of person but I know myself I wouldn't cope very well in there, I get cabin fever and start acting weird when I'm stuck at home for more than a day so I can only imagine what I would be like after living in there with a bunch of strangers, food rations and a voice messing with my head!

I can't understand why everybody's scorn is reserved for JJ, she was clearly angry at him because she is jealous/convinced he fancies Keeley, her rage was totally out of proportion to him just saying she'd called him crab eyes.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe JJ has a disabled sibling or something to make him so angry about anybody judging someone by how they look, then again, it might just be to capture the ugly duckling votes!
