Religious stuff aside, Dave is actually quite a big part of that house, he always trys his best in the tasks and is featured in the highlights quite a lot, he is definitely not deadwood imo.

Forget Josie & JJ, Ben and Dave are the best couple in the house.

To be fair the only time I've seen Ben bitch about Mario its been legitimate complaints,eg. Mario turning on him because Ben doesn't want to kiss him, Mario not being as interesting as he thinks he is,and getting frustrated when Ben zones out from time to time.

Dave just seems to totally have rounded on Ben this week cause he cockily believed he was super-popular all of a sudden and didnt 'need' Ben anymore.

Couldn't have put it better myself! I did notice also that Dave headed for Ben again last night after the New Guys went in. He dedcided that he doesn't like Cougar at all after she said she wanted to chat about religion to him, he thinks she said it agressively lol! Don't like him and I don't like the way he (and Mario) have used Ben.

Ben does for mario = stabs his friend in the back at any gven opportunity. He uses Mario to get what he needs/wants..and throws him aside like a used tampon when he doesn't need anything doing anymore. Then sucks up to him again when he needs something done...and for some unknown reason Mario tolerates this Im sure in the real world Mario would be less tolerant of Ben's selfish ways.

I totally agree and predicted that after Dave turned on ben he would be all buddy buddy again when the new housemates threatened his percieved position as top dog. he really does think hes got it all worked out and sewn up....I deperately want this fcukup out.

Dave has proven time and time again to having his finger firmly on the pulse of the house. His obsevations and predictions are spookily correct.
Deadwood? No. Perceptive, supportive, motivating, enthusiastic? Yes.

It's quite a shallow argument to expect a Christian (or whatever he is) to be saintly 100% of the time isn't it? He's just a normal bloke with a very checkered past sticking as best as he can to some lifestyle guidelines set out in a best selling book. And despite him coming across to people like you and I as a complete whack-job because we don't subscribe to the doctrine, he actually seems to be prospering spiritually and intellectually because of it.

I think JJ(original) is the biggest fake but I dont dislike any of the ones that are left anymmore so was looking forward to enjoying the rest of the show, altho i dont know how the newbies will change the dynamics:spin:

You really have to give the newbies a few days to see them for themselves ,last night it was fingers down throat ,it always is, but give them a few days and things will change,hopefully for the better as this is a terrible year for hm8s ,never in all the bb`s have I ever only like one hm8s and truly cannot bear the rest

Dave may get to the final week, I know I prefer him to Ben now, but probably wont win cos of the anti-religion(anti-cult) vote which is a bit of a shame cos the rest are being judged on what they actually do, or dont, in the house:bawling:

Don't feel too bad for liking him, it actually shows you're not a sheep. If it weren't for the bonkers spirituality, which to be fair is only one facet of his character (albeit a big one) he'd be a worthy winner.

I'm the opposite cos I like it to be a fun house with genuine people who get on(sorry:blush:)

Yes, you're right. I do accept your point. I simply feel that as he professes to be in there to spread the word and claims to love everyone, last night he made a snap judgement on Jo. He does backbite a lot, ridicules his friends and has double standards concerning nudity. I give him due credit for pulling himself out of a hole he may have been in previously but I think Dave is being a hypocrite

You make a good point too. But in order for Dave to succeed in the game he will have to employ tactics which do not reflect his lifestyle outside the house. If you were to take these game tactics too seriously then it may well been seen hypocritical. For example pointing out that JJ (original) contributes nothing to the house doesn't mean that he "loves" him any less it just means that in the context of the game or the running house in general that he would missed less and therefore worthy of a vote or two. It would be sly if he went from person to person secretly pointing out the deficiencies in the competition but Dave is open about his views (sometimes brutally so) and broadcasts his opinions to the group.
I must point out that Dave is not my favourite, I just find him a decent enough bloke (barring some respect issues).
