Laura Eating GRRR!!!
She reminds me of my Sister I think...When some people eat with their fork like they are posh...you know what I mean when they use the fork the wrong way round. No wonder she dropped half her potato...you meant to use it like a shovel...that's why it's bent the way it is.

What do you mean?
You can use your fork as a board to then cut across food with the knife. You don't especially have to use a fork like a shovel. |

Like with Chips if I went to a chippy (Not often as I do oven chips at home) I would eat the greasyness with my naked fingers, it's all about the senses, sometimes having a sniff by putting it near me nose before passing it into my opening |

I agree with the OP. You've gotta shovel!

I love putting a whole load of mashed potato lining the boundaries of the strips of metal of the fork from the tips to the left side of the curve where the gaps dissapear and it meats the pure metal part. YUM...and then if I have some Roast Potatoes, I will push it in, and it will look like a toffee apple on a stick as I move it to my lips |

This is a very Americanised way of using a fork, and very unsightly! Prongs of the fork should curve downwards and food placed on top of fork, small mouthfuls at a time.. This isn't being "posh" as you put it, but just simple manners and acceptable table etiquette! :) |
Best thread on here atm, lol

I've seen this sort of behaviour displayed in quite a few places and on the telly.. I'm sure Sophie (could have been someone else) from last years BB did it too! Oh, I could weep thinking about it! |

I like eating in restaurants, but I'm completely arsey about spotting a "shoveller" or a "fork teether" or even worse somebody eating with their gob open!! I've had to swap seats before so I can't see said disgraceful behaviour in eateries! Yuk Yuk Yuk! |
Happyland - I'm inclined to agree with you. but - there IS something worse than someone eating with their gob open and that's someone eating with their gob open, sitting opposite - and talking at the same time. :eek!:

I remember a customer coming into my work... a big dirty filthy looking woman and she was stuffing a sausage roll into her mouth whilst talking to me.. bits of flaky pastry were flying out her mouth and I could see the rest of it in her mouth. I had to get somebody else to deal with her! YUK! |
