For anyone who believes in the showmance...

How come JJ will never kiss her on the lips, or hardly at all? Anytime Josie comes near him he does this almost jerk reaction and turns to the side or puts his head down and giggles.

Zippy 03-08-2010 10:47 PM

For him its a mixture of emotional dependency and playing the TV showmance game for maximum airtime.

He certainly doesnt wanna fck her. Of that Im sure.

I seriously believe Joe that he's been metaphorically battered into a corner because he know's if he surns her/tells her to get lost he'd smack his head in (metaphorically).

I do how believe:

1) She's GENUINELY BESOTTED

2) He genuinely feel a lot of love and affection towards her (just not in that way)

Yeah I mean, it's sort of an innocent lie that has gone too far if you get me? He clearly doesn't feel that way, but he went along with it and now he's in too deep.

Mr XcX 03-08-2010 10:50 PM

He is ashamed cause he wants to ride on her coat tails till the end.

Agree the first part, believe the second is just an irrational prejudice of yours Zipster.

Wanna know the eviction odds BTW????

WOMBAI 03-08-2010 10:55 PM

This will all come back to bite them in the bum - sooner rather than later! When they come out of the house and watch the show - once their 'showmance' is over - they are going to cringe at how pathetic they looked!

Neither will live it down for some time to come! Both a complete embarrassment! But lets please not let either of them feel it was worth it - by letting them win the 100k!

I believe in these two points.

I have wondered why John James comes across as if he's somewhat uncomfortable at times. Are the constant cameras making him feel paranoid, I don't know. Is he really that shy and embarrassed and this is holding him back. Or is it really a case of he isn't in love as apposed to just loving Josie.

There is something there, I'm sure of that. The only way anyone will know for sure is how things go when the show is over and they are away from the cameras.

How many housemates over the last 11 years haven't looked back and cringed at how they came across ?

fingers 03-08-2010 11:00 PM

They are a pair of pathetic fools who have painted themselves into a corner using non-drying paint!

They might not verbalise it to anyone else - but privately - might well be a different matter - probably wondering if only they hadn't done this or if they had done that...etc!

In different ways fingers, but YES - I'd agree with that. And now mutually dependant and mutually doomed to growing unpopularity. They've handed the prize to Corin the Cretin

CaudleHalbard 03-08-2010 11:07 PM

It has taken Josie to make John James realise he is gay - but needs a mother figure! :D

I'd bet my bottom dollar JJ1 thinks this in his mind and thinks f....., F......, F..... many times per day the situation he's got himself in where not allowed to leave her side anymore.

Josie I think is too besotted to notice.

Id probably say these 2 points are true Claymores, however I do think John James is leading her on to make her feel she does have a chance with him in order to gain air-time and to form a 'Are they or arnt they?' scenario for public interest. I would say he loves her as a person, but the affection he shows is just for leading her on imo.

The thumbsucker just can't believe her luck in snaring a hot? young bod at her size!

Why are people so obsessed with whether their relationship is real or not?

Because we refuse to be played like fools and be conned into believing that something is real when it clearly isn't while at the same time being flabbergasted at those out there who genuinely believe that what they see on the telly is real... by virtue of the fact that it is on the telly. The massive irony of course is the huge resemblance to the "Public Mind Control" from George Orwell's novel (you know the one ;)).
The producers must be pissing themselves at the simpletons who have been taken in by it. Remember the producer from Dead Set? He was obviously an exaggerated caricature but many a true word is spoken in jest.

Poor John James didn't have a fat lot of choice did he.

He had to go against rachel to get the sunshine-type-fan-vote. Then what was he left with.

Ife = engaged
Keeva = in love already and shabbys love interest
Shabby = lesbian
Corin = he considered for a while, but she had a gf
Sunshine = too young and Josie put a stop to that

Zippy 04-08-2010 01:23 PM

She claims he has kissed her on the lips but we have no proof.

If they have kissed properly then she should sense if its real or not. But she is still clearly very doubtful.

Hmm very telling. Either they havent kissed properly or she didnt feel the love when they did kiss. Which is it I wonder?

Niamh. 04-08-2010 01:27 PM

It could be because he is very concious of the fact that he's being filmed all the time. I would feel very weird about snogging someone in front of a nation and my friends and family watching

Its sad but true that the only real bit of lovin mama Josie will get will be on Fridays before and after eviction. And even then it is strained and heads down.:spin:

fizzy 04-08-2010 04:14 PM

John James seriously considered corin though, he even pretended corin reminded him of his mum.

His mum and corin are nothing alike!

InOne 04-08-2010 04:19 PM

His mum seems quite posh lol Yeah they're totally different

Most of us aren't but the producers are obsessed with shoving it down our throats 24/7. This crapmance has completely ruined the show this year because it has handed unwarranted excessive airtime to two of the most boring HMs in there. Therefore the viewers have been royally shafted, by being cheated of what had the potential to be one of the best BBs of all.

One-liners - what is the latest forum obsession with one-liners! They are only great if they are intelligent and witty - her's are just stupid, made up comments that don't mean anything - just random nonsense!

I'm sorry but if you want to convince me properly you need to provide examples. Here's your chance as a fan to make a difference.

Being brought up in the country myself, I suspect that the "great one liners" you refer to are just witty country colloquialisms or old expressions which sound a bit cool now because they aren't heard too much in the big smoke. Prove me wrong.

fizzy 04-08-2010 07:31 PM

sorry I spoke. Jeez pfft
