I have a male to female transgender friend.I still struggle with calling him a her,but I am amazed at the small mindedness of people.What the fuk does it matter to anyone,it has no relevance to anyone elses life.

I think she looks a lot more feminine this time round. Her hair suits her A LOT more now as well, whereas before I think it kind of contributed to make her look more masculine.

Discussion,yea thats fine.What I,m talking about small mindedness and bigotry,from people in general.I admit I dont understand why anyone would want to change their gender,because I have never felt that way,but what another person does,has no bearing on my life whatsoever. Just because I do not understand,wouldnt give me any rights to be insultive etc.This friend of mine has had to put up with the most horrendous prejudice.People calling her a freak,while putting dog**** through her letterbox,(like that is any kind of normal behaviour).I just find it strange that people get so worked up about things that really make no difference to their own lives.People fear and mock what they dont understand.

But as she was put in because of this issue it is , as I have said, quite legitimate to discuss it on a BB enthusiasts forum. Including whether people have such operations in an attempt to address issues which (arguably) could be addressed by counselling or other means short of mutilating their bodies.
