Why do people think girls are jealous of HMs?
 

just curious, my mate (shes studying with me at uni) says that some people said that she (and other girls) are jealous of Makosi or other attractive female HM's and thats why they vote them out.

i think this untrue. people (guys and girls) vote on personality, so why do so many people try to make it like voters are jealous??

im a guy and vote on personality and she votes on personality too. so what gives?

Every couple of days it seems there's a "you're all jealous..." thread. I've no idea why. Gets tedious after a while because like the OP, I vote for people who's personality and character I dislike.

yeah livia well said i really cant stand those threads. any1 would think all female voters were shallow and jealous which is NOT true.

Whilst if men were the majority of the voters they would vote to keep those titties in there....

... regardless as to whether there was a brain perched above them, or a character behind them. That's fine, that's blokes! Doesn't mean that women are jealous though.

update: i just asked my roomates (2 guys) and they pretty much disagree with this thread and said female voters ARE jealous. sheesh why are people so judgemental??

It's a standard and ridiculous accusation people tend to throw out when they run out of valid defences of their favourite HM, welcome to the forum btw

Its one of the most infuriating notions people generalise about BB. I think it stems from the fact, women tend to go first. Which for me is nothing more than male housemates usually banding together at the start and voting for woman they hardly know over male HMs they hardly know!

Its stupid, if women were "jealous" then wouldnt Josie have been ousted for getting together with the "fit" male this year?

well if theres one female housemate and one male housemate i think the female housemate would go because most women prefer watching men.

Why even bother arguing it? You are arguing just for the sake of arguing. its not an opinion itsa fact, the majority of good looking girls who first go in the house get boo's, regardless of the fact that they know **** all about them.

Just look what happend when Laura walked into bb11, she got booed right away and she did f all, Jo goes in and she gets cheered. Why? cause she looks like a dog and she aint a threat.

Did i say you would be jealous? No. I was perhaps wrong in saying all girls hate on other good looking girls but a chunk do.

Another example, Corin goes in, looks the part, bit of a bimbo = BOO. She comes out, people find out she aint a cow = YAY.

I aint having a go lol, im just giving my opinion, we've seen it soo many times throughout the years on BB.

ok, the crowd respond to the VT of the entering HM, if you can give me an example of a good looking female HM with a positive VT who was booed then I will accept your point.

Women arent allowed to dislike a good looking woman...for any other reason other than jealousy. It just isn't possible. We are all shallow creatures who should keep the 'fit totty' in even if they have the worst personalities. :laugh:

I think women are only hostile to good looking women IF they are bitches or vein or up there own assholes (as nikki put it)

cant think of any right now, lol doesnt mean that there isnt one, just cant think of past vts and the crowds reactions to them.

What was Corins vt like? Judging by her personality in the house cant imagine she did anything on it that deserved boos.

Chantelle you mean? I'll be honest with you, I missed the first night of UBB, so I really dont know who was and wasn't boo'd out of that lot, I would imagine though as everyone already knew the ultimate contestants, they would be going on their previous knowledge of them rather than their VTs as with the usual un known HMs

because it is true for majority of BB viewers

most are jealous if a HM is better than them in some way, either more attractive, more successful, sexier, more intelligent or just a nicer person

Well i can tell you now, chantelle was booed and her vt didnt deserve to be badly received. And it wouldnt make much sense to boo her with regards to watch she previously did in the house as she was portrayed as a decent housemate and people voted her as winner because of that.
