Why did it take Anthony so long to tell her the truth?
 

All these years, their incident during their season did not look good for either. It made her come across as a liar and made her come across horrible. I cant beleive they never talked about it till now. Why didnt he just come out and admit that he fingered her back then? Would have saved them both alot of trouble

I remember the final BBLB rap show for the series and while Dermot was interviewing Anthony, he had this unexpected outburst and said to Makosi "you're a damn liar!"

I gotta say I wasn't particularly convinced by their conversation. I dunno, it just didn't seem to make much sense, I didn't think.

She knew the truth as well as he did. She looked like a liar because she is a liar.

Maybe, for all these years, he's been holding out for a mega bucks mazazine deal to which to sell the story, but it never happened.

It's hard to say with this because when pool gate happen Anthony was very drunk and could not remember what happened, and when Makosi spoke to Anthony early next day she told him that to spare both their blushes. But because it caused such a storm she might have decided to tell the truth instead it made her look more of a liar, either way it caused so much confusion.

While they were in the house Anthony knew on some level, and I from what I can remember there were at least two times she wanted to speak about what they had done and the pregnancy thing she had done but Craig had been so manipulative and jealous advised Anthony to stay away from her and also he wanted to see Anthony end up the winner of BB6, if they did have the discussion in the house it would have turned out so much different and I don't think Makosi would have been labelled as a Scarlet Woman.

Apparently it took this long to sort out because of Anthony's family especially his grandmother in particular was totally against Anthony having any contact with her whatsoever, not that they appeared together much on the same programmes and if they did Anthony's mother was always with him for protection.

However, it was great for them to meet and talk about it, even though some prudes have commented on it being too graphic for discussion, it was up to BB what they could have left on the cutting room floor, but that BB for you, it spared them no blushes whatsoever. They didn't have the decency to show Makosi very public apology to Antony and his family on TV, they had it on the website just for a few hours and then took it off, it such a shame as Makosi will be largely seen as this persona as a Scarlett Woman who can't do nothing right to change that image.

Anyway because the matter has been settled to both of their satisfaction, which is all that's really matters, and you could clearly see that there was no animosity left, in actual fact it looked and felt they like they still had that old connection that they did have all those years ago, which I liked. As the conversation went on you could see the coy teasing they used to do and were still comfortable doing and by the end, and from the reactions of the other housemates and delight at Anthony kissing Makosi on the lips as he was going. For me that for me said it all, and they have moved on.

As a (quite old and fairly experienced) woman could I just point out that there is NO WAY she could have mistaken fingers for his thingy especially the way they were stood in the pool.

This is like those American films where something happens between the Jock and some chic. No matter what the Jock says the girl will always be the slut and villain while the guy is left in an hawit light.

She knew the truth the whole time. She spent the whole season causing dramas and then she got a bit too big headed and went way too far with this one and the pregnancy thing and caused a big public backlash after she was a favourite to win.
Anthony was pissed so it probably made him question what actually happened, but i remember him saying to Davina in the finale interview that it went no further than using his fingers for a couple of minutes, unless i'm mistaken.

Excuse me, but when Makosi went into the house the first time, there was nothing to say that she was a prostitute, that came after long after the programme had ended and the media saw fit to hounded as some common criminal and she had to payout for her lawyers to fight for her right to stay in this country.

Also please remember Makosi and Anthony had just turned twenty-four and yes, they were foolish and clearly didn't think of the controversy it would cause. I really like them both, and I'm appalled that people are too bigoted and forget to what's it like to be young, single and carefree.

Most of the housemates that have gone into BB have treated their time there as a holiday. I think someone in the house even said that this year. And what do majority of people do on holiday sometimes? have flings. Get drunk and don't really know what went on the night before. Unfortunately for them two they did it on tv, but Makosi got most of the flack and still getting most of the flack. So she had some fun and said she was pregnant for comedy value, give her a break for **** sake. Jee seriously, she didn't murder anyone.

What I meant to say was it could have been one of many contributing factors why she might have turned to prostitution and not her sole purpose. Secondly, yes maturity does come with age but I would not consider 25 even back then was mature, even less so now. With every generation the question of whether someone is at full maturity at 18, 21, 25 or 30 is still debatable. Imo the saying ‘your as old as you feel’ comes to mind, and if that was one the few last immature acts she did before she was forced to grow up take responsibility for her actions, who am I to rebuke her for that.

As I said there is nothing to indicate that she was a prostitute before she went into the house, after being the operative word. Unless you can quote something to say she categorically stated that she was before she went in, preferably on film with her saying it, then I would have no option but to believe it.

I also believe that this 'lame explanation' for the 'supposed-confusion' was cooked-up by the pair of them prior to Makosi entering the UBB house, to try and generate more publicity for the 'near-forgotten' Anthony in particular!
It was clear to see that the two of them were actually on friendly terms. As if they had been a couple of friends all along!...And why not?...it's only a game after-all!

Anyway, I personally think that Kinga and the wine bottle was the most vile thing to come out of that series. But I also think Makosi did herself no favors with all the lying during the interview. She was playing up for the camera's on BB6 as well as everyone else that season (maybe with the exception of Eugene). She could have just said, "listen, I played the game, nothing personal."

And for gawd's sake, she should have never said ANYTHING about a pregnancy!

I think the only reason it became a big deal for him is because she started lying about it. He freely admitted to wanting sex with her and he would have happily admitted to having sex...if he did have sex. He had no reason to lie about it.

You seem to have it twisted. Makosi was he one who came out of it all badly so it was up to HER to set the record straight if she wanted to redeem herself.

The fact that she didnt is what makes me suspicious of their sudden story of it being fingers. I honestly think they contacted each other beforehand and came up with a story to allow both sides to come out of it well....oh, it was all just a silly misunderstanding. Er, I dont think so!
