Big Brother will get back to you

Looking into it to much ????

Hmmmm

janaddy86 10-09-2010 10:33 PM

Setting it up again :)

BristolRovers 10-09-2010 10:34 PM

Let the conspiracies begin!

SocietyIsRuined 10-09-2010 10:34 PM

Not really. The amount of revenue including the C5 website. The number of shows that could push Big Brother on 5 plus the amount of revenue to the owners papers and magazine. He would be a fool, possibly the biggest fool of all time to not take this programme on.

Jackie 10-09-2010 10:34 PM

Hopefully channel 5 will be the new host theres lots of rumours about.

King Gizzard 10-09-2010 10:36 PM

Lol they had to cliffhanger it, doubt it though.

Stevep 10-09-2010 10:37 PM

I actually hope it will be back on 4 in 3 years time or so, i really do think taking it to channel 5 will kill it off for good.

Beastie 10-09-2010 10:38 PM

It WILL be back.. but if it is.. can they keep the same house? or have to build a new one?

It will probably have a break.. come back in 2013/2014.

I bet in the next few months.. they will announce it will be back.. but that they are going to build a new house for it and that. Which will take like 2 years.. then start it again in 2013/2014?

BristolRovers 10-09-2010 10:38 PM

Someone posted on the BBspy news item that they think that this message has a hidden meaning, what do you think?

'You have been evicted from the Channel 4 house' could that mean it's coming to channel five?

the-gaffer 10-09-2010 10:39 PM

Mind games, its the only way Big Brother could possibly end, you've all watched it long enough to know that

hotleggs 10-09-2010 10:39 PM

no its never coming back

its just a word that big brother always says ,

thats stupid it just means its done with channel 4 but it will never be back lol

BigOz 10-09-2010 10:41 PM

There is a small chance it will come back, there are a lot of stuff that comes back after a while, when there is a watcha call it... demand.. like The I.T crowd (came back) or Family Guy.

Beastie 10-09-2010 10:41 PM

It WILL be back.

TRUST me.

the-gaffer 10-09-2010 10:43 PM

Let it go Beast, let it go...

ILoveTRW 10-09-2010 10:43 PM

BB Australia used the same line to end theirs and it is still yet to come back after 2 years.

lard 10-09-2010 10:44 PM

Channel 4 would never let on that it was going anywhere else. That ruin it for them. By letting people think its the last one ever the focus is always on channel 4 right up and till the end, Making it more dramatic, getting more viewers (on the basis its the last ever).

The last big brother ever just has that little bit more impact than, the last big brother on channel 4.

I think it could be likely to arrive on channel 5 if they make that decision.

What i found really disappointing was the lack of any final montages. I would of love to of seen one for the ultimate, and then one for the whole thing. There one of my favourite bits at the end of a season. Always makes me feel those tears.

This ending just didn't have enough impact. Big brother 11 was ruined abit by the short ending. It deserved better. It was a really good season.

But it will be back, you know

Because you can see in the future, can you tell me the winning lottery numbers for tomorrow?

Mac Hiavellian 10-09-2010 10:48 PM

Loved how it ended on that quote but after quite a bit of effort tonight is it wise to bring it back so soon? Imagine if Five did pick it up and it lasted only a series - would it get as big a send-off as it did tonight?

I bet my vagina that Big Brother WILL come back.. eventually.

(Within 5 years)

LaLaLand 10-09-2010 10:50 PM

Channel 5 would be STUPID not to take it on.

I doubt any Channel 5 program gets the regular amount of viewers as BB has currently.

Jords 10-09-2010 10:50 PM

It was a good little cliffhanger that, if it returns or not but I suspect it will do.

Mystic Mock 10-09-2010 10:53 PM

i think it will come back on channel 5 in 2012.

jkm1980 10-09-2010 10:54 PM

why have channel 4 decided not to carry on. they all seem so gutted it is over so just keep it going

just like you too know that its for sure too come back , why the hell would they go too all that trouble too bring it back nxt year how bloody stupid

lard 10-09-2010 10:54 PM

If it comes back let hope it doesn't become something it isn't. It has to keep its distinctive character. They need to keep the music, the style, davina, marcus all of those sort of things.

Would we get bblb? would five put it on 5iver?

Basically lets just hope if does come back it isn't downgraded.

Nicky. 10-09-2010 10:56 PM

It'll come back for a big "come back" in a few years probably! x

lard 10-09-2010 10:57 PM

apologies for some reason my post is here twice

janaddy86 10-09-2010 11:02 PM

There was another reference in there tonight, Davina's opening speech in the final show I think it was.

And then there was the full 'rhyming' thing that BBLB did on it the other week in the Bob Righter sketch.

All there for a reason.

Beastie 10-09-2010 11:13 PM

Would be nice if BB actually came back next year. On channel 5. Either next year, 2013 or 2014.

Not come back in 2012 though. The Olympics are taking over. 2014.. World Cup.

2013 would be more fitting.

However bb12 2012 sounds better.. lol

Visage 10-09-2010 11:20 PM

It could come back......

.........but will it be the same ??

Bigbrofan25 10-09-2010 11:22 PM

Well It may come back on channel 5 soon maybe next year or the year after

I would love it if it did come back but http://twitter.com/mrmarky72 seems sure it is coming back but can we trust this source?

CultofSkaro 10-09-2010 11:34 PM

It's a good concept for a show - it'll no doubt return at some point. It managed to run for 10 years - that's a long time. Maybe after 10 years, maybe 20 - at SOME POINT it'll return, you can pretty much guarantee it.

Not after waiting another 10 years for it to return.

Maybe wait like 3 years?????

Maybe channel 5 will experiment Big Brother next year... but in a different format.. and that it doesn't last as long as 13 weeks.....

lard 10-09-2010 11:54 PM

perhaps the shorter celebrity version on 5? But are celebs still want to go anywhere near it? it would be the ideal quick hit for 5. Itv has im a celeb.

Shasown 10-09-2010 11:56 PM

The "Big Brother will get back to you" message has been used in the past on a few series as the end note quote, it was used on the end of a series of memorable quotes.

At the moment nothing is really certain, even if 5 dont license it, Endemol will keep an eye on Channel 4 viewing figures over the next few years and re-offer it if C4 cant fill the void.

Oh by the way Beasty, I will take you up on that wager(#22).

Marsh. 10-09-2010 11:59 PM

The format will keep going for many years. It invented the reality tv we're practically forced to watch all the time.
I remember Simon Cowell slagging the show off after Dermot moved to X Factor, saying Dermot shouldn't do both as X Factor is a much bigger show. Maybe with recent viewing figures, but Big Brother led the way for Simon to do Pop Idol and everything so...

But Big Brother as we know it is definitely gone. No matter how many years time it returns, who's presenting it, where it's set etc it will be very different.

I can see channel 5 taking their own Big Brother-esque show for next summer, but not the brand BB specifically. A bit like Shattered or Unanimous that was on a few years ago.

They claim since CBB5 it just hasn't been as dramatic because of Ofcom complaints which is why I laughed during the highlights part when Marcus Bentley addressed Ofcom at BB's funeral lol

Ofcom is the killer of British TV, look what it did to BB and what it's doing to Eastenders!
