Is anyone not sad?

I'm surprised but I'm really not that bothered. I felt a bit sad in the first show but by the second one I was neutral. I think it felt too much of a celebration rather than this is the end. Even Davina's best bits didn't make me that sad....

fruit_cake 10-09-2010 10:45 PM

I think it'll make me more sad next summer when there's no BB

Maia 10-09-2010 10:47 PM

Me as well. When live feed and BBLB finished I suddenly got overcome with sadness, and nearly cried but didn't, then on the first show I was sad, but by the second one I wasn't, and I haven't cried at all.

Callum 10-09-2010 10:47 PM

They should have used sadder songs for the VT's.

SocietyIsRuined 10-09-2010 10:47 PM

I'm quite happy that Sciences' quote was said. It shows that they haven't forgotten that moment in BB6 when during all the hate, someone stood up and said what everyone was thinking.

The show will not die and neither will our memories of it. Let the high brow attack it for they do not understand it.

ILoveTRW 10-09-2010 10:55 PM

Not sad in the slightest, the only moment was the Jade Tribute but thats about it.
Even Davina couldn't care less in that final hours.
BB failed once again.

Shiner 10-09-2010 10:56 PM

I'm relieved it's over and happy that a twat didn't win. :D

Stacey. 10-09-2010 10:56 PM

Agreed. I didn't cry, thought I would though.

It was sad and that, but it feels happy.

Nicky. 10-09-2010 11:00 PM

I cried during Jade and when Davina was crying in her best bits, but that's it - and I was only crying in Davina's best bits because she was, haha! I'm not sad that BB is over, just sad that everyone else was sad! But the Jade bit was very emotional :( x

InOne 10-09-2010 11:01 PM

I'm drinking, so no. As long as I have alcohol, all will be right :D

Scarlett. 10-09-2010 11:03 PM

No, for me BB died in 2007, but it will be very weird not having it on anymore

Jack_ 10-09-2010 11:03 PM

I couldn't stop crying in the first show during the highlights, so I thought I'd be a wreck by the end of the night, but yeah, strangely, I managed to pretty much hold it together. And it was odd because I felt like I had to cry...but couldn't. As someone said, I don't think they used very sad songs for the VT's. I'm getting more upset now that I have had time to reflect on it though, this really is the end of an era...

Lucy. 10-09-2010 11:04 PM

No because it was a rubbish final hour, no best bits, loads of wasted time. Fail.

Braden 10-09-2010 11:06 PM

I really thought I was going to proper cry,but didn't. I'm still quite sad...in more of a depressed way. Really thought i'd be more upset.

I kind of got that vibe from Davina. Like she had to cry but she was trying to force it.

Mac Hiavellian 10-09-2010 11:07 PM

This year really marks the end of an era for me. Big Brother has finished on Ch4 and its future on another channel is still yet to be confirmed. My beloved Nip/Tuck came to an end this year. The Tudors was an okay show that ended this year. Damages ended on FX but has thankfully been renewed on another network. After years of anticipation I finally saw the Tekken movie - it may have been bollocks but my wait for that is at last over. I graduated Uni, had an operation I wanted, quit my job, said goodbye to a few friends, met some new ones and ******ed with my enemies

And I'm looking onwards and upwards. No use living in the past, enjoy the now!

Beastie 10-09-2010 11:07 PM

I havn't cried at all. Feel sorry for Jade.

BB WILL be back though.

However before it is back.. there will be other sh!t to watch in the mean time!

CaudleHalbard 10-09-2010 11:08 PM

I'm not sad, I'm not happy. Pretty neutral really. :)

It felt very much like a normal finale despite all the extra bits.

Jase. 10-09-2010 11:10 PM

I am. I cried when Davina started saying her goodbyes. It's been a huge part of my life. I started watching it when I was 14, so from BB2. Now it's gone for good, and it's just...strange.

_Seth 10-09-2010 11:13 PM

I got teary sometimes. If this year for BB hadn't been so abysmal (CBB-UBB), I definitely would have balled.

DDRickyDD 10-09-2010 11:14 PM

No not really. I enjoyed Big Brother but it has certainly run it's course and was time to end it.

BringItOn 10-09-2010 11:14 PM

I'm sad, probably because i've watced since the first series so after 10 years wow its sad :(

Raph 10-09-2010 11:17 PM

I'm sad. It's been a big part of my life. :(

i will say this : i normally do not watch bb and this year kind of thought i may watch some because they claimed it to be the last and i also watched this final 5 hour goodbye (including big mouth on 4 o d), which made me come to conclusion that i regret wasting my time watching bb11 hl. really wish i didnt and would have only watched the ultimate for 3 weeks. that would have been more than enough  gosh you can do so much more in your life than waste it on watching some random people doing pretty much nothing.

True, but precious minutes are also wasted writing about it on a forum with people you don't know lol.

THANK YOU!!! I have been racking my head trying to remember who said that quote, one of BB's best ever, for the lst hour!

Lol, you uber troll, you. Every BB has that effect about it being addictive viewing and needing to know how it'll end - even BB4, but some series attracted mroe attention and favour than others. If you'd watched earleir series and followed it through to know tonight probably would've had a bigger impact on you and like most cynics of the show, you'd appreciate more little gem moments that stood out amongst the boring bits lol. Was there anything you liked about BB11? Any tasks? Titan? 'Ignore the Obvious'? Josie's chimpanzee comment? Tree of Temptation? Lol

yes i loved the tree :xyxwave: great voice and they showed the tree dude tonight as well

ignore the obvious - great idea but didnt really work out. they were not ignoring it really. someone posted australian version and it looked much better. though i absolutely loved marcus bentley : " 4.01 pm josie and john james discussing having a lie down" he seems like a great man.

i liked nic-vic show (got the link from this forum because they didnt show it on hl  ) i think they talked sense and i loved their interviews and questions.

josie comments absolutely not. could not stand her from the beginning plus she was incredibly boring - i guess that's why i thought it was a waste of time : because i remember trying to force myself to watch JJJ show and it was just

Guys Big Bother will be back, it will do a gladiators. This big brother is the end on channel 4 and the end of the current format, when it returns ( which it will ) it will be brand spanking new , new house obviously new area, new presenter, new eye designs, same theme tune, but more beat to show the BIG BROTHER IS BACK type feeling, nd new format in which the housemates enter nd exit the house, ooh nd channel 5 will be its place

Niall 11-09-2010 12:38 AM

For me, it hasn't quite sunk in yet. I reckon tomorrow I'll wake up and remember and think, "Oh my God. It really is over isn't it?" Thats when I'll get sad. :(

Yeah, the last series was as dull as ditchwater for the most part ..... previous series have not delivered the goods and I've become ambivalent about watching BB, but I'm definitely not sad .....
