Tattoo experiences.

Just wondering if any of you have tattoos, what was your experience like?

Was it painful?

Interested to see varied accounts of 'getting inked'.

bettiepage 21-09-2010 01:06 AM

my first one killed me. maybe I'm just a pussy?

Iceman 21-09-2010 01:07 AM

My first one was fine, I got it at 4AM in Kusadasi drunk out of my head lol, no pain at all.

Omen 21-09-2010 01:08 AM

Tatoo fads come and go, but you're stuck with the tat. I blame gobsh'tes like David Beckham.

I got mine done above a wig shop.

I have 4. None hurt. the feeling was nice in a strange way actually.

Except for when they went over my spine, that wasnt so nice xD

Hangovers go away, tats don't.

LaLaLand 21-09-2010 01:10 AM

What does it actually feel like? I can't imagine the feeling of needles being driven into me that quickly. :/

Its kinda like a burning...tickling sensation :S

setanta 21-09-2010 01:13 AM

Never been interested in having one done cuz I'd probably tire of it after awhile.

Hmm.

I'm about to book my first (hopefully) this week. Just a simple black treble clef on the side of my arm, near my wrist (next to the bone that sticks out on the top of your wrist), it has a lot of personal meaning for me you see.

I've got a few piercings but I'm a wuss when it comes to tattoos, I've found...

I think you'd be a great design artist for them though.

Kerry 21-09-2010 01:22 AM

Just found the experience irritating. Not painful. As someone once said on TV - "it's just an annoying little *****" :joker:

Captain.Remy 21-09-2010 05:14 AM

I've got 2. Planning to get the 3rd one very, very soon.

It surprisingly didn't hurt, I loved it all way through it.

Smithy 21-09-2010 02:44 PM

Apparently, the closer to bone it is, the more it hurts

Ninastar 21-09-2010 02:53 PM

I have decided that I want to get one of a small 8 point star on the back of my shoulder, but Im too much of a pussy to get it done. saying this, I cant even get it done till im 18 :'(

Smithy 21-09-2010 02:53 PM

You can get it done at 16 with parental permisson

Ninastar 21-09-2010 02:55 PM

umg.
My parents would never let me. they said If I got one, they wouldnt let me live with them. :/
I hope when I turn 18 that Im at uni or something

I was asked to try it out before actually. Just do a few doodles and send them in to a particular tattoo parlour in town. Could be interesting I suppose.

I might get a tatoo on one of my flabby bum cheeks then!

Kerry 22-09-2010 01:22 AM

I'd like another on my hip or stomach I think. Or one to cover the one I have now which I got just 'cos I could'

Barbie 22-09-2010 06:50 AM

i get fads where i want one, but i've never had one, im fairly sure i'd end up desperate to get rid of it.

30stone 22-09-2010 09:07 AM

It wasnt painful..
It did hurt a little/feel weird when it was near my elbow.

Got mine on the back of my arm.

I dont like how many people have them though..

Tom 22-09-2010 03:59 PM

My first one was when I was drunk and so was my friend, he was training to be a tattoo artist at the time and we thought it would be an amazing idea to tattoo my leg with the most hideous and tacky cross ever known to man. I can't remember if it hurt much but its been lasered off and that tickled, but considering he was drunk he did a really good job!

My other 1 is just personal one for my dead friend really, didn't hurt and was done quite quick. Its basically his name with 88-07 underneath it

I want a massive design across my arms & chest or torso but I know I'll get bored of it and it will look crap when I get older so I'm a bit unsure. They'll just end up looking tacky

Jords 22-09-2010 04:00 PM

I really want one but Idk what of!

Surely though you'd not want tattoos when you're older? Like OAP's ages.

Why not do something now because in 50 YEARS or so you wont like it?
However Id only want a relatively small one, which has some meaning and on my back up near a shoulder, so you wouldnt really see it unless showing it off anyway.

Because you'd be embarrassed maybe?

I don't know, but if I see old people with tattoos I think it's vile. Makes them look a rough mess.

Ninastar 22-09-2010 04:06 PM

thats why I want a small one stace hehe x

Just depends what and how many you get. Id only want the 1 myself if I were to get a tattoo.

People who have tattoos all over must REALLY regret it as they age though, they look a mess as it is, imagine when theyre tattoos all wrinkle.
Will look like theyve just been scribbled on all over!
