Mystic Mock 05-10-2010 07:51 PM

Lee. 05-10-2010 07:54 PM

I wasn't born in the 90s but some of my best years were during them (age 14 - 24)

I miss living at my mams, spending most of Sunday in bed and then having a Sunday roast cooked for me :)

Jordan. 05-10-2010 07:55 PM

Me!

foxysarah92 05-10-2010 08:01 PM

I think if you after 1995 your not really a 90s kid

Stacey. 05-10-2010 08:02 PM

Surely if you're born in the 90's, then you're a 90's kid?

Yeah, I don't think being born in the 90s makes you a 90's kid to be honest.. I mean I was born in the 70's but really couldn't comment on what I miss from then, as I can't remember it!

(although I do have a vague recollection of mental carpets and wallpaper) :)

InOne 05-10-2010 08:08 PM

Well I was born in 90. So I guess I could class myself as a late 90's kid, 97,98,99, cos those are years I remember pretty well.

foxysarah92 05-10-2010 08:10 PM

I was 92

MTVN 05-10-2010 08:21 PM

I was born in 93 so I guess I qualify.

The pokemon craze was one of the main things I remember. It always makes me feel quite nostalgic whenever I see one of those "You know you're a 90's kid if..." lists

Ramsay 05-10-2010 08:29 PM

Of course I do! Apart from Marathons being renamed Snickers, it's the most ridiculous thing ever to have happened!!

I'm a Tesco Value 90s kid. I was born in 1989 so for obvious reasons don't remember the 80s

Otis the Aardvark was my childhood hero. His replacement Emlin the Gremlin made me livid

I used to love Zzzzap as well and I remember getting a Proyo 2 and thinking it was the best toy ever. I also had a cyber pet but it died when I left it on when I went to school :bawling:

Live & Kicking >>>>>>>>> SMTV Live, SMTV didn't get good until around 2000

Daytime TV was better than it is now, I used to fake being ill so I could stay at home and watch Supermarket Sweep and Wheel of Fortune. I remember This Morning with Richard & Judy live from the Albert Dock, I remember going once and seeing Freds floating weather map and I also looked through the studio window.

Cartoon Network was epic with Cow & Chicken, Dexters Lab & Johnny Bravo

I also remember when Starburst was Opal Fruits

Shaun 05-10-2010 09:25 PM

the floating weather map  and when people streaked on it...

Haha! Bugger I was just about to say that!
Did he not fall off it one day too?

You wouldn't get that with Phil & Holly :(. I don't think he ever fell in but I know he nearly did. I remember when he did the weather when it was snowing and when he went to do his jump over to Ireland he fell. Link to original said video-

http://www.jonn.co.uk/bloopers/modul...icle.php?id=35

I also remember BBC2 Schools TV and the annoying woman who used to sing about numbers on Numbertime and it had El Nombre in it. There was also one programme that has always stayed with me where with 1 episode there was a burglary in a shop. There was Come Outside too (which i still watch ), the silly programme with the magic pen and 'magic e' and the best one of the lot PLAYDAYS

I still hate Poppy. What a bitch (even though shes a cat). I didn't like Fridays with the patch stop though

SoBig 05-10-2010 09:39 PM

being born in the 80's>>>>> being born in the 90's

Tom 05-10-2010 09:41 PM

Saturday nights used to be sooo amazing. The Price is Right  The Generation Game  Big Break  that card-game Bruce Forsyth also did... (higher/lower...erm...)

Smithy 06-10-2010 06:49 PM

OMG Rosie & Jim, and Brum!!! the little yellow car!!

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 06-10-2010 06:50 PM

Now that the city's awake, my heart aches
Oh, what a silly mistake it seems I've made
You left your keys under my bed
Left a thumping in my head
I would say sorry, what's the use?

'Cause, I'm not what I was last September
And I don't wear the same robes in May
We know we shouldn't do it, but we do it anyway
We know we might regret it but it seemed okay

Noels House Party (Mr Blobby!!!) and the lottery was quite good back then with Mystic Meg doing her horoscopes. I remember when they introduced the midweek draw in the mid 90s and Carol Vorderman used to do the horoscopes on a Wednesday

Beastie 06-10-2010 06:55 PM

I was born in 1989! Woo!
