Hahah!! That is not cute! It's eeeeevil!

I've not had an horrific experience or anything, but just day to day, they make me angry... and their owners do to! I suppose I have kinda developed a fear of them!

My favourite animal is a wolf though.. :conf:

Ammi 06-10-2010 01:08 PM

compulsive liars/fantasists/attention seekers - people who tell you about awful things that have happened to them and they make you feel for them and play with your emotions - then you find out it is all lies and just a fantasy life they invent for sympathy and attention

Jordan. 06-10-2010 01:08 PM

This thread :nono:

We already have the 'Little things that really irritate you' thread which is basically the same.

Oh Kazanne.. I see you hate women in screaming in films etc! Remind me of something that I hate!..

When women win something on the radio or on a phone in show on the telly and they scream! Men never do it, they just say "oh thanks" but women insist on getting hysterical.. I mean, I would say I'm quite a stoic person , but I may say some emotion/excitement if somebody phoned me and told me I had won £1 million pounds, but these screechy witches scream when they've just won tickets to a local flower show or a £20 voucher for Debenhams or whatever! Rant over

You just reminded me of my son trying to get me to accept some money he owed me in Debenhams vouchers that he won (it was £30 not £20 lol) - naughty boy - I wasn't impressed - (but I respect him for trying)

Ammi 06-10-2010 01:23 PM

Oh and I hate it on horror films when they go into creepy places to investigate - I would just get the hell out of there - FAST!!!!!!

No well to be specific he was given them at work as a bonus for good performance and I'm very proud of him but then he tried to pass them off to me for part payment on £50 he owed me - I did smile to myself though - like when he says 'I'll take you out for lunch' - then I'm left to pay the bill every time cos what he really means is 'I'll accompany you to a restaurant' lol I love young lads

Haha.. crafty!

What age is he? At least he wants to go out to lunch with his mammy still. A lot of young lads would think that was seriously "uncool" :D

He's 23 and I know I'm lucky I've got a great relationship with him. He's not long come out of a long term relationship so while he's girlfriendless at the mo he's sometimes at a loose end. I make the most of it cos I know it wont last long and anytime I can spend with my boys is great. Only problem is somehow it always costs me money to spend time with him cos as well as lunch he manages to make his way to his favourite shops and I end up 'treating' him to something. lol its mutual he gets something out of it and I get to spend time with him - perfect - everyones happy - except my purse!!!

This. Some young Asian beeped his horn at me today because I stopped on a roundabout near a shopping place to give way to the right. He overtook me (almost causing a crash with a HGV), gave me dirty look and sped off, but I noticed where he went and followed him. He soon bricked it when I pulled up next to him and got out of my car, not so cocky when hes not behind the wheel

Ugh where do I start...:
-David Cameron/Conservatives
-Any kind of prejudice against a certain group/race of people
-People walking in front of me at a snails pace
-Getting stuck in traffic on the bus
-The bus being late
-Busses in general
-Exams
-The fact I won't have enough money to buy Fallout: New Vegas/The Sims 3: Late Night/ Civilization V (when it's released for Mac)
-Stress from having to re-apply at my school for Sixth Form D:
-Having to get a plane on my own for the first time on my own in a couple weeks = scary

Thats all I can think of atm.

HBB1508 06-10-2010 04:52 PM

People on mobile phones in supermarkets
Mobile phones in general
Cruelty to animals
Women drivers (even though I am one)
Tractors that insist on going as slowly as possible in the rush hour
People who think I'm a whack for being a vegetarian.

Ah, the joys of being a mum! I have two sons, a 21yr old and a 24yr old, both living independently, the eldest married with a baby and a stepson, yet I still find myself worrying about them, and insisting they text me when they arrive home after visiting me so I know they got home safe! I love giving them random treats which I get told off about in a half hearted way() but I have a great relationship with them both and they ring and visit regularly. Having survived the angst of the teenage years, they have grown into men to be proud of, and I frequently bore people to tears talking about them constantly!

Men who make that disgusting noise before spitting! It's disgusting!! :yuk:

Angus 07-10-2010 09:55 AM

People having loud conversations on their mobile phones on public transport
Rude people who think queuing doesn't apply to them
People who pack up every bit of their shopping at checkout before hunting for their
wallet/purse
People who spit in the street

Oh this drives me mad too.. PLus people who huff and puff and rant and rave about having to stand in a queue and then when it's their turn to be served, they aren't prepared at all... They get their handbags on the counter, half empty it looking for cards/money/whatever.. It drives me insane! Why not use the time spent in the queue wisely and have everything ready?!

Ooh yes that's really annoying.

What about:
people who stop suddenly in front of you on the pavement so you bump into them- and then you find yourself automatically saying "sorry" to them!.

people who let doors close in your face in shops etc

sales assistants who carry on having a conversation when you're waiting to be served

Niamh. 07-10-2010 10:10 AM

Car Hire companies.............ggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrr

Haha.. I have a really bad habit of saying sorry to people who bump into me! Strange isn't it?

The sales assistant thing is very annoying.. even more annoying is when they continue to chat WHILST actually serving you! I find that so bloody rude!

Or another thing.. when you say goodbye to a shop assistant and they don't say it back! WHat's wrong with these people for gods sake?!

Claymores 07-10-2010 10:29 AM

Cold-calls should be top of everyone's list. Especially when you have an unlisted phone number and have registered with the Telephone Preferences body not to receive them (means someone else has sold them your phone number from a database)

When I'm on-the-ball, I tell the sales rep. I'm registered with telephone preferences so his company is breaking the law with the call, ask for his full name, designation, company address. They usually hang-up before me

Yeah, we did the same Ian.. It was so bad at one point that we just didn't answer the phone between 5pm and 9pm. Some of them are offensively pushy.. My OH eventually had to hang up on one woman as she would NOT take no for an answer.. The cheeky beggar kept phoning back! 3 times she phoned back until she was told to bugger off! We actually complained to the company involved.
We then registered with the telephone preference thingy and knew a big difference almost straight away.. But yeah, your right about how quickly they sod off once you mention it! :D
