I think it would be really healthy and amazing for the forum to have a section for members who are 16 and over to be able to have a sort of "no rules" forum. Obviously if stuff went too far, mods would step in.

This idea was discussed before, wasn't it?

For access to be granted, members should (obviously be 16, but) have a certain amount of posts and have been a member for a long amount of time. If they'd like access, they could be placed in a specific group which can see the forum.

I was thinking the age 16 would be ok seeing as that's the legal age for sex, so porn could be discussed. idk XD

18 plus would be fine.

A rant could go in Chat and Games or General Chat.

Well technically, you couldnt really. But if they SAY they are 18 then the rules could be much more relaxed, as it would not be the sites fault if they came across something unsuitable. Sort of the way that porn sites just make you click something saying 'i am over 18'

If there is one made, they may as well just make it a 16+ forum. Because the older members will just keep to that perticular part of the forum and forget about us who are 16 and under, who also want to socialize with members and enjoy our time on here :(

Nah. It is not our fault if kids pretend to be older. As I said, porn sites dont have legal problems...and many of them are just click and enter.

No because technically the forum would be saying "Tell the truth about your age" and if you lie, it's YOUR fault - it's on YOUR head. The forum took action to prevent you from seeing anything you shouldn't, asked for your age and yeah.

Definitely like the idea of this :thumbs:

do we not have our date of births entered when we registered?
just use that as a way of being able to tell who can get in
and the ones who are under 16 or whatever that part of the forum is blocked

It won't be a forum specifically for porn, just a section where we can talk about more adult stuff, rant, and have a bit or privacy from non and younger members.

I dunno if it's that good of an idea to have such a forum but one way you could prevent younger members from entering it is have it so you need to be cleared by a mod to use that part of the forum. They do something similar on SIN if I recall. That way we have more control over who views whatever will be in this new part of the forum.

That dumb mother would have nothing to complain about if it said you have to be 16/18 to enter. It was her own fault for bringing up a son who couldn't tell the truth.

But a Whole Sub - Adult section is a Legal problem.

Nobody is saying have a whole sub forum for stuff like that, just that we could talk about stuff like that without having to THINK OF THE CHILDREN, WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN

It wouldn't be designed wholly for porn... it would just be a place for older members to have more mature chats, vents, more heated debates etc.

But Porn would get on it.
