Oh, it was a different scene that I'm talking about, near the end. I wont mention it here cuz there's obviously people who haven't seen it, but wow.... Pixar really know how to play with your emotions.

setanta 26-10-2010 12:24 AM

Field of Dreams always chokes me up. Real man's film I think.

Kerry 26-10-2010 01:03 AM

Not sure I can think of one only. I'm such an emotional sod

Philedelphia and Moulin Rouge always get me. Oh and King Kong broke my heart! There are loads. Just can't think at the moment.

"Bright Eyes, burning like fire." Think the animators were burning some doobie when they came up with that scene! Still a bit nutty even now.

Kerry 26-10-2010 01:11 AM

Forrest Gump :bawling:

Boys Don't Cry

Oh boys don't cry. Monster also gets me. She was a woman in pain driven to all that. And how about too young to die with Brad pitt, juliette lewis. :(

Princess 26-10-2010 01:13 AM

I saw Love Story when I was like 9 and have had a vendetta against it ever since cos I thought it was so depressing, though I barely remember it.

Can't think of anything else,I watch a lot of sad movies.

setanta 26-10-2010 01:14 AM

Sophie's Choice for that scene.

Shaun 26-10-2010 01:15 AM

Agree with Jords about Seven Pounds.
And definitely Toy Story 3, the furnace scene...oh my god, stupidly intense.

The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas
The Green Mile does every time...more so now because I was watching it when I found out my dad had passed away.
The scene in V For Vendetta about the lesbians who were arrested and murdered for their sexuality was horrible, and the letter Valerie left for Natalie Portman's character :(
Milk, for the ending with the candlelit vigil.
Changeling is desperately sad throughout.
Mystic River.
Doubt.
The Pianist.

Vicky. 26-10-2010 01:17 AM

I dont know why, but Jack...with Robin Williams always upsets me something rotten.

Not the ending or anything, just the thought of it all :(

Monster is a great film. Not sure I know the latter but it rings a bell. I'm so crap at remembering titles!

Kerry 26-10-2010 01:18 AM

How could I forget the Green Mile?!?! :bawling:

Shaun 26-10-2010 01:19 AM

OH. and the ending of Mrs Doubtfire, with the letter from a little girl whose parents are going through divorce. That speech practically carried me through my parents' separation.

Kerry 26-10-2010 01:21 AM

Bleedin' 'ell, all I can hear is Bright Eyes now

setanta 26-10-2010 01:21 AM

It's a Wonderful Life... Sad in a good way. Great flick.

AJ. 26-10-2010 02:07 AM
