I like the idea of Peter & Carla. Together they could have some fantastic story-lines. I think the affair could really spice up these two characters.

Yet, I think Leanne is great for Simon, but like you say it's soap-land and not everything goes that well does it.

This:D, Alison King is awesome and i've always rated her since Dream Team.. she's a much better actress than Katherine Kelly IMO but i'm bias:).

Carla is a brilliant character, whats so great about her is that she isn't the usual northern stereotype. Shes quite a dark character too, they could literally lift her character and she'd fit into Eastenders unlike most of the others

That and the fact her mum used to sell drugs from prams and her brother is serving time at Strangeway for armed robbery - But she'd never let anyone know that!

I totally agree - Ali can do more than look sad (seriously, I don't think Stacey has ever smiled)

PMSL dont get me wrong i think she is a good actress but pretty much all she ever does is shout or cry. The woman who plays Jean is a much better actress than Lacy

Agreed, Lacey is the most overrated actor in soap, followed by Danny Miller

I disagree, Lacey Turner is brill and has deserved all the awards she has won but Ali is fab:).

Stacey has smiled, when she first arrived she was a loud, fun and troublemaker until the writers changed her personality and gave her lots of dramatic storylines.. there are occasional glimpses of the Stacey that originally arrived in the square.

I really like Gillian Wright and I do hope she gets some recognition before she leaves:). I prefer Lacey but they both work so well together and very convincing;).

I would love to see a storyline that Carla has to deal with looking after a child LOL for some strange reason:D.
