2023 Ashes
I may be the only one on here who actually cares about cricket but ah well, first test tonight, 11pm :)
|
Strauss out second ball, not the best start
|
I'd rather watch paint try
So mind dumbingly bad, test cricket Twenty20 is alright..no one commented on my thread when we won the world cup :( |

If noone commented about the Twenty20 World Cup I doubt there'll be much interest here then  |
No you're not the only one. I care about it too.
England are going to give Australia a thumping in my opinion. We might have lost an early wicket but it's nothing worry about yet. We'll still score over 600 and win the series 5-0. |
Australia 2-3, wtf is going on! What a start :D :D :D
|
England 551-4
Rain has stopped play :( |
1-0 England
An innings & 71 runs |
Such a comprehensive victory there, we dominated the whole way through, the Australians really need to get things sorted for next week
|
|
Australia will win this test with there pace attack , although on a pitch like this i think there missing a trick by not playing Tait , Pointing is due a big score so im backing him too make a big score first innings
Australia by an innings and 75 runs |

lol the Aussies are so fuken poor , Pointing should have left when the likes of Hayden , warne etc left , he is really ruining his reputation in this series
|
Mitchell Johnson at last showing the form that had made him the best bowler in the world a couple of years back. Australia should win this easy now
|
And the Ashes are England's again :D
|
Far to easy, Australia really have gone down the ****ter
|
It's been a bit sh*t this series because there hasnt really been one competitive game, the Aussies really are poor compared to their squad 5 years ago, I dont know how they managed to beat us so badly in the 3rd test
|
Michael Hughes :bored:
If I was a fan of the ashes, I wouldn't want to celebrate till we won them, not just retaining them.. |

|
1 hour!!!!
|
I don't understand cricket. I think me stan'ing for darts, football and tennis will have to do for my newfound love for sport.
|
Guarantee if you sit there for the next 5 days straight watching all of the first test you will be hooked
|
What a tit Prior is
|
Finn!!
|
KP destroying them at the minute

Had to come in and post about Broad's disgusting sportsmanship which was a disgrace tbh. Fair enough not walking minor edges but when you get a THICK edge like that and stand your ground you honestly deserve a ban as there is no place for that
All I am hearing from the commentators is the favourable decisions Aus have had yet they ignore Rodgers( One of Aus main batters) being given out for the same Anderson was given not out for. Whilst ignoring the fact Broad was also out LBW on 6 Seemingly it's not enough turning all your pitches into a sub continent spin/borefest Seemingly it's not enough to have a mixture of South Africa A players in your team |
great start to the series
|
I like Michael Clarke

One of the greatest pictures ever in sport Quote:
Don't see what the difference it makes is whether it's a minor edge or a major one either, Broad's was pretty obvious but people exaggerate saying he edged it to slip and all that, Dar isn't the best ump but it got such a heavy glance off Haddin's gloves you can see why he was mistaken Plus this whole 'spirit of the game' has always been really inconsistent and more of an ideal than the reality anyway, and show me one Aussie in the last few decades who would walk there, apart from maybe Gilrichst so yeah basically, Broad was within his rights, the Aussies can't moan :idc: |
Ramdin = Gets banned for faking a catch
Broad = No disciplinary action faced Who who's dad is part of the committee???? As for the Aussies feel sorry for them you take away the runs Broad added after not only his first dismissal but his second one aswell they win the game with ease. You can talk about the Agar decision however that was actually touch and go and needed a few other angles to be 100% sure either way on. Agar apart every 50/50 call went against them including the big Haddin one like Glenn was saying there is no way of proving for sure that the hotspot mark was not there before the ball went past the bat. Add to the fact the noise appears once it had gone past the bat makes the decision even more dodgy PS: PLEASE take that bum Cowan out of the line up that shot he played off Root before bloody tea alone means he should never play at international level again |
Agar's wasn't the only one, and even if you ignore that 92 extra runs of his then what about Trott's in our second innings? And he is probably our most reliable batsman atm so you'd fancy him to at least cancel out that 28
Haddin was definitely out, it looked like it in real time and was backed up by hot spot and snicko (even though the 3rd ump didn't have that), I even think that Aleem Dar may well have just given it not out because he knew England had reviews and the Aussie's didn't and he didn't want to be responsible for another massive cock up |
MTVN walking right into my trap fuken LOVE IT
I purposely left out the Trott decision because I knew you would bring it up. You got to love the England fans the hotspot is good enough for the Haddin yet they conveniently forget the fact there beloved Hotspot showed nothing on Jonathan BORES bat Thank **** we did not get to see the most BORING batters in test history at the crease together the thought of him and Bell at the crease together brings a shiver down my spine |

Nope you never show your hand in ANY aspect of life. Anyone can bring up points but it's how you construct your argument that really matters
Knowledge + Construction = Why I have never lost a debate on the sports forum |
lol look at LK thinking he has pulled off some genius master stroke
You said that "every 50/50 call went against them" when that obviously isn't true because Trott's went in their favour. You do realise that the ICC apologised to England over it right? And that the only hot spot angle that mattered wasn't available but the 3rd ump still decided to reverse the decision anyway? |
