Episode 4 - Prisoners Dilemma

Firstly, congratulations to all of you to making it to Episode 4.

Just 12 players now remain in the game, it will start getting harder to fluke it through.

In this game you will be paired up in 6 teams of two.

Each player on a team has the option of:
1. Passing up an exemption.
2. Taking an exemption.

However, that means there can be 3 outcomes:
1. Both players passing up the exemption.
2. One player taking an exemption, while the other passes up.
3. Both taking an exemption, resulting in nobody getting it.

Now, in the 6 teams - only a max of 2 can have an outcome of 2 or 3.

That means at least 4 teams of 2 must pass up the exemptions in order to pass.

It doesn't matter if the group passes or fails - whoever claims an exemption gets an exemption (unless their partner claims it too, meaning nobody gets an exemption)

So will you be greedy enough to get an exemption for yourself? Or will you let the group pass their first task, and be one step closer to preventing The Mole from winning?

HERE ARE THE TEAMS:

1). Braden and Ninastar
2). Jords and Marc.
3). GypsyGoth and MeMyselfandI
4). Snowman and Thomas C
5). Patrick and Smithy
6). LemonJam and TheHarbinger

So, each one of you must decide if you want to PASS or TAKE the exemption. U2U me your decision, but remember - if your partner does as well, neither of you gets the exemption. If more than 2 groups have players that chose "TAKE", the group has failed.

This task is about communication and temptation, keep in mind that you have already failed 3 missions. If you faill all missions, The Mole wins....

Good luck! You have 24 hours from now to decide!

OK. Iceman, I think we should both NOT take exemptions.

I think none of should take exemptions.

Meaning NO ONE AT ALL. So that we pass this task.

UMG... This was was so fun last time, MrGaryy ruined it though. The mess.

It will show the people up who take exemptions to be honest.

We can pass this easily. We just decide that all of us don't get exemptions and we pass them up.

If we find that someone has taken an exemption then it will just show them in a dodgy light.

seriousy guys no one ruin this. If we all pass it, then theres a little chance you will go anyway!

Like, what happens if the mole fails to sabotage the task?

i meant if we all said no to it, its like 11 of us so the chance is 1/10. so i meant tere is little chance youd go and its fairer

Right we can pass this task.

Everybody refuse the exemption, as the mole will try to fail it by taking an exemption (remember we can only have option 2 + 3 occur twice, not twice each, so we cant fail if s/hes the only 1 to take an exemption and therefore having the outcome of 2 + 3 occur once).

Might aswell pass this task so the mole cant win and its an open field, then we can be as greedy as we want...

I sent in mine and I said Pass.

Do i need to talk to Braden or should I just send in my pass?

I think we can all just send in our pass but make sure you let him know....

I like Jords idea about us all sending in passes.

Everyone else should speak to their partners and be clear on who is sending in their choice so that we pass this task. :)

And I know some people will think 'but we can have 2+3 happen twice, the mole only counts for 1', but lets face it we could all feel like that and then fail if we try to be sneaky, so its best to play safe and just refuse.

Get 1 mission passed so you can win, because at the moment none of us can win except the mole so theres no point playing otherwise. :p

It was my idea for us all to pass up exemptions. :(
