Dannii Minogue.

what a stupid cop out

Mystic Mock 05-12-2010 08:13 PM

i agree, but simon probably would sack her if she went against his fixing to save cher operation.

Locke. 05-12-2010 08:13 PM

She finally came good

30stone 05-12-2010 08:14 PM

Well done Danni!

Stevep 05-12-2010 08:14 PM

They are all puppets in Simons game. I'd like to believe it was down to the better singer in the sing off (because i do actually feel Cher was better) but after the controversial decisions this year i have my doubts and am siding with the idea that she was told who to vote for.

bbfan1991 05-12-2010 08:14 PM

Perhaps Dannii genuinely felt that Cher was better in the sing off and tugged at her heartstrings.. funny enough how some kicked off at Cheryl about the Gamu thing because Katie and Cher got through but then again maybe Cheryl saw a lot of potential in them?.

Dannii has been critical of Cher before but she is the most popular judge now and I don't think Simon will be getting rid of her soon;).

GiRTh 05-12-2010 08:15 PM

She slates Cher every week then puts her thru. All the sh*t people say about her being impartial. Major cop out.

Simon is the most popular judge, followed by Cheryl. Dannii is far from it regardless of what silly online polls say

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 05-12-2010 08:22 PM

She was a bit more supportive of Louis earlier on. Simon threatened to sack her if she didn't join in on queen cheryl's worshiping.

Maybe that is what Dannii genuinely felt?, how dare she have an opinion that the Cher dislikers disagree with yet you're all allowed yours:sleep:.

She's just gone up in my estimations :) What a great woman.

So you think its logical that Dannii sends through Cher after telling her that ballads aren't her thing and has slated her week after week, yet praises Mary week after week and loved her first performance of This is a Mans World?

Sometimes the judges have sent people home who they criticised on the show but did better in the sing off.. on SCD (when they had a dance off) some dancers did great on the main show but got voted out by the judges on the dance off..

But Dannii loved the first time Mary sung that song and hates Cher singing ballads. Go figure

cub 05-12-2010 08:37 PM

No cop out. Before the break Dermot asked each judge for one name who was the best. Dannii gave three names. Mary's name wasn't one of them.

Much as I'm not overly chuffed with Danni, the only thing I'll say in her defence is that she has said time and time again, that that type of song is what she prefer Cher singing - as opposes to all the rapping pish.

That said..... she's also very much on Cowell's payroll, more to do with that than anything else I suspect.

Disappointed in her all the same.

Beastie 05-12-2010 08:40 PM

Deep down I think Dannii is like the majority of us knowing that Mary is a bore. This is why she put Cher through.

I do think it was a fix though to get Cher to the final.

Cher will come in 4th place anyway. Eventhough I do quite like her.

I think there is a lot of truth in your post, I was surprised she chose Cher over Mary after last night.

Didn't she say Matt, Rebecca and OD? ;)

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 05-12-2010 09:34 PM

I didn't watch the show yesterday, but I just read that Cher had a jab at Danii yesterday?

Yeah, there is definitely word backstage to save Cher for some reason.

Z 06-12-2010 06:31 AM

Dannii has always said she bases her decision on the sing off. Is it really that much of a push to think that she preferred Cher's sing off performance? Jeez.

tbh I think Cher's performance was much more 'emotive' than Mary's, for me it was probably the best performance by Cher. Its interesting though that Cher and Cheryl always defend Cher's style and her raps yet in the sing offs she's dropped them and she's been saved. Guess it kinda validates Danni's point on Saturday which the audience booed

Jevans 06-12-2010 07:08 AM

she usually makes the right decision. I'm dissapointed

Imo she did make the right decision, it pains me to say it bacause I'm definately no Cher fan, I dont like her attitude, her rapping and I don't think her voice is that special - but I have to admit she pulled it out of the bag in the sing off and I was a bit blown away by it. Dannii always says she judges on the sing off only and Cher was great, whereas Mary was just as she always is so it didn't feel anything special. Mary has a powerful voice but I have to agree that love her or hate her Cher is more interesting.

Danni said she would like to see Cher do MORE ballads, that is probably why she sent her though as she liked her performance better.

Jordan. 06-12-2010 08:56 AM

She did the right thing as always.

She backtracked a bit on ITV2 earlier, when after she had first accused Cowell of being 'tactical' (correct) about his Matt comments, when asked by the girl in the audience she said she 'wasn't sure ' whether he had been or not. Her card had been marked. We ALL knew it would be 3-1 to Cher after that.......and, of course, after they'd altered the 'public vote only' rules just to make sure that Cher couldn't possibly be given the boot.
What a year this is for the fiX Factor. :nono:

Vicky. 06-12-2010 05:04 PM

She went way down in my estimations. All through the series she has been the most impartial and honest judge, and she cops out at the last minute :bored:
