What TV show would you most like to see back on air?

Just wondered what TV shows you would like to see on our screens again.
Funnily enough I was just thinking about that program called Robot Wars that used to be on BBC2, anyway, whilst I was having a nose around Aaron's Emma website, I saw a thing saying that shes going to present the new series of Robot Wars and its going to air in April, is this true?
Oh yeah I'd also like to see Noel Edmonds House Party again, that was funny.
What TV shows would you love to see back again?

Mike 21-04-2006 05:36 PM

Don't Try This at Home was good, I remember watching Davina McCall driving a truck across to rubber tracks like what Carol Thatcher did on Im a Celeb, but Davina cried when she fell off.

ThaGazBoi 22-04-2006 09:14 PM

Friends i loved it!

Ruth 24-04-2006 10:36 AM

Sex And The City, The X Files, Homicide: Life On The Street and Murder One.

James 24-04-2006 11:32 AM

Yeah, Murder One, that was a brilliant series. Especially the first series with Daniel Benzali and the idea of following a whole case over the season.

Also I would like to see Red Dwarf back. They have been trying to make a film since series 8 finished and it's just not going to happen.

My all-time favourite TV programme is Twin Peaks but I doubt that it would be possible for that to come back, and be any good.

I agree with the above about Survivor. And DS9 was the best ever Star Trek, but again, I doubt it could succesfully return, given the way it ended.

Legend 24-04-2006 11:58 AM

Survivor & The Mole yeah.

I loved Gladiators, i've got all the video's from like 1993 lol. I went to see it live at Sheffield when i was younger, i loved it, got the hand and everything. :joker:

Yeah, season 1 was the better one. Although I originally watched season 2 first, and I did love season 2. But although I really like Anthony La Paglia - and I think he did a good job on the show - nobody could really replace Daniel Benzali.

I loved Twin Peaks. I wish they would bring out season 2 on DVD. But I agree, it would be risky to bring it back - my guess it would either br brilliant or rubbish.

Survivor was great. I really liked the second series, because there were 3 or 4 who really could have won it. I liked the winner, Jonny. Apparently he has emigrated to Australia since winning the show. And I totally agree about DS9. I liked Voyager too, but it was a bit lightweight compared to DS9. I don't think they would ever bring DS9 back - shame, because Sisko was a great character. In fact, DS9 had all the best characters - it was a lot darker than the other Star Trek franchises.

BigSister 24-04-2006 01:55 PM

I went to Birmingham to watch Gladiators Ant and I joined the fan club and everything and i bought a video too:blush:

x-heather-x 27-04-2006 10:18 PM

lolz becca:blush:

BigSister 28-04-2006 11:41 AM

Apparently some of the Gladiators were on Radio1 a couple of weeks ago on colin/edith show and they have their own forum

Legend 28-04-2006 11:52 AM

I bought every video there was, taped it every night (well my mum did) and it was great when i went to see it live. I remember shaking my hand too much and me fingers (the ones you buy there) fell off and ended up 4 rows under me. It got past back up though.

Ooo i didn't know they had there own forum. You got a link?

My auntie got her pic with Warrior a few years back (she was young lol). I've met Warrior too and also met Rino. :eureka:

BigSister 28-04-2006 12:04 PM

A couple of other shows that I might like to be brought back, maybe.

Quantum Leap - I think a new TV movie or theatrical film has been discussed before.

Blakes Seven - not very likely given the way it ended I admit but... there was a proposal to make some kind of new mini series. Paul Darrow (Avon) was involved in it for a while. They could start again with a new cast.

On the subject of bringing back old shows, there's a remake of The Prisoner in the works - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4972194.stm

philmyer92 11-01-2007 08:13 PM

 red dwarf will come back please don't say it won't

InTheHood 11-01-2007 08:59 PM

The A-Team, although Hannibal is dead :blush2:

It shouldn't be re-made though with new actors - just wouldn't be the same. I know they show the old re-runs on UK TV Gold, but........it's a shame they can't do one final show to properly end it.

Slartibartfast 11-01-2007 09:27 PM

Well 70's/80's TV shows have been ripe pickings for Hollywood over the last few years. Who knows, an A-Team movie??? Would probably have to be different actors though (as you say, just wouldn't be the same), maybe with some paltry cameo roles for the surviving original members.

A Quantum Leap movie would be cool, bring back Bakula!!

I'm not keen on the re-makes. Dukes of Hazard was pants. Okay, the series was cheesy, but the movie wasn't even like the series.

The A-Team must be laid to rest, i'm a little sad it didn't get a proper ending though.

Slartibartfast 11-01-2007 09:47 PM

Yeah to be honest, Dukes was rubbish and Starsky and Hutch wasn't much better. The Charlies Angels movie will always hold a special place in my heart though, purely asthetic reasons of course:tongue:
