Matt sore throat.
 
Aw poor Matt,news is that his voice is not fully restored and it's looking iffy for tonight,he still has tonsillitas and he may not be able to sing at ALL,great news for all the others,but what a shame,as he is so good and he does need to be in fine voice tonight,I will have fingers toes and everything crossed that he will be ok,but it's looking doubtful,I wonder if they would disqualify him if his voice is still gone?

Good news finally. I'd accept him winning if he wasn't going to murder Many of Horror but since he's doing it I hope he loses his voice and falls flat on his face.

He has no depth to his voice, it's one note, it's girly. You need a voice with a bit of grit and character to pull it off and we all remember how laughable it was when Matt tried to do gritty in Come Together. He's an utter whelk that's only got as far as he has because of his looks and pretty much doing the same thing week in and out.

So yes he's going to murder it and even change it's name so he can take it as his own.

Clearly you have never had tonsilitis then? It's not just a sore throat, you could see he was fevered last week, you sleep like a dog, you are utterly lethargic. Even your fav's mentor acceded that the man clearly looked unwell. Or are you saying Cheryl was lying? Awwwh.. :pat:

I'm not usually one to believe stuff like that, but many have alluded to a fake person that isn't who they seem and I reckon it's Matt, even in that official X Factor Magazine he's revealed that he's attacked other contestants in the press so he's no angel himself, just a very desperate contestant who'll do anything to win.

No I haven't but I know people who have done. Anyway, it clearly didn't affect his voice, he sounded great as usual, if not better actually.

Maybe not, but that's not Cher's fault if her fans vote or not. I'll even admit it seems pointless half the time, it's like my few votes aren't gonna make any difference -.-

And you are aware that the older you are, the worse the effects of tonsilitis tend to be?

The man was ill, wasn't able to practise, wasn't able to rehearse and still managed to escape the bottom two. You don't get that level of support for nothing....... he clearly has more fans than Cher does.

Personally, I'd say (and especially at these latter stages), very few of the contestants will be busom buddies: it's a cut throat business they are trying to get into, and I very much doubt many of those left have any real love lost for each other -they are all looking out for number one - themselves. That's the way it goes. That's showbiz.

Well I've never studied it so no :L

He has his fans though, like even if Cher came out tonight and gave a totally **** performance [which I know she wouldn't but for example] well I'd still vote for her. He may have more fans, or Cher's just may not vote, who knows.

In fairness to most of the contestants though they haven't gone to the press to attack other people, Matt has. It's more of a representation of his personality rather then anyone else's.

You don't have to study it. You simply have to know enough about tonsilitis in adults to realise it is far more than just having a little sore throat.

You clearly are a devoted Cher fan - that goes without saying and at least you are true to your word, and are sticking by her, regardless. Good for you. (and I'm not being sarky there, I'm being honest)

Perhaps Matt had very good reason. People don't often do things for no real reason, just for the sheer hell of going to the press. Often they are put into a position that to remain silent, is simply untenable.

And I don't, therein lies the difference of opinion.

Matt may be goal orientated but he does not come across as malicious. As I say, I suspect it's a case of he was put into a situation whereby he felt he had to clear the muddied waters.

I remember 'someone' said he was annoyed that Katie had said they were having a fling,can you blame him?she was lying,and i do think that anything in the press should be taken with a pinch of salt(they have their faves too)Simon himself said he had got to know Matt and that he was a very genuine SINCERE guy,maybe with Matt,what you see is what you get,no pretence with Matt,seems the press are only true if the story is derogotary about someone people don't like.Lots of people have said Matt is a nice guy,of course people wont believe that if they don't like him,they want to reinforce anything bad.

Precisely my point earlier Kazanne - I suspect he was very much in the position of having to speak and to defend himself - to put halt to gossip and rumour mongering.

I think he's looking for the sympathy vote, I have Tonsilitis a lot pretty much once a year if I'm lucky and more if I'm not. I can barely move when I get it and it takes weeks for me to feel 100% again, he might have been ill last week but it wasn't tonsilitis, you can't sing like that with it, I can barely stand and can't talk at all when I've got it. I reckon he might have had a cold and was trying to look for sympathy at best.
