Poor Cher LLoyd. Has to share with Wagner

Had to laugh at this in the DM today.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...irkenhead.html

Laughed even more when I read this part:-

Quote:

Cher has also been tipped to expect some serious chart success alongside will.i.am. who has revealed the pair have made a single together.

The Black Eyed Peas star tweeted: ‘The day after the last xfactor…cher loyd (sic)and I went in the studio and made a mega smasher.’

He also posted: ‘@CherLloyd hey cher, when should we release the song we recorded in London???...(It’s a smasher)

So much he thinks of Cher... that he can't even spell her name correctly when posting to try to raise interest - even when he has this to guide him ‘@CherLloyd '
:laugh2:

I think there might just be an element of truth in that !!!

Has any comment been made from any other members of the Black Eyed Peas? Or is it just him that's .... erm... desperate!

Serious question btw! What are the other band members feelings? anyone know?

Not a fan of the new BEP so I wouldn't know ,but would love to hear what fergie has to say bout his obsession with Cheryl...

Locke. 28-12-2010 02:41 PM

I was there.. the venue was only small itself but it was full.

And it was supposed to be Mary Cher was there with but she pulled out so she could "be with her family" and Wagner was the replacement.

Jack_ 28-12-2010 03:08 PM

What the **** has she done to her hair? :(

KG. 28-12-2010 03:12 PM

Cher looks even more awful in that first picture than she did on the show.

I didn't think it was possible but you are correct. I've never seen a 17 year old look so old.

Pyramid* 28-12-2010 03:26 PM

The comments under the article are brilliant! I think out of 66 comments left, only two were giving Cher any form of back up.

Now.....why doesn't that surprise me!

I think you can be sure that it would be pretty much the same in any **** newspaper out there.

None with any real sense would want to concern themselves with such non entities as Cher, Wagner, Katie blah blah blah.

Because lonely middle aged women have nothing better to do with their time than hate on a 17 year old girl.

Sounds about right.

You really need to try better than that Locke. Your predictability is so boring !

Got to hand it to those middle aged women ..... with names such as Timelord, Andy, Mark, Ray........ quite a diverse lot apparently!

The Daily Mail readers are the most pathetic bunch of sad, moaning and stuck up people out there. Good to know that when they're not blaming immigrants for all the countries woes they find the time to hate a girl simply for performing a gig at a relatively small venue, what has she even done to attract criticism here?

  • She can't sing
  • Has the most hellish attitude
  • Is up her own arse
  • Thinks she invented rapping
  • Has an ego the size of planet Earth
that should do to be getting along with.

Now... I wonder what publication you'd venture upon then... for giving out fair comment on Cher? The DS? The Star? .......

Of course she can sing, anyone can see she had a good voice. And anyway, I asked what she had done to attract criticism on this particular story, she performs at a gig and that's all the excuse the Daily Mail readers need to come out with their pathetic hatred which is basically all about how they dislike her looks.

All your points other than the first are basically the same anyway, they're all about her supposed bad attitude

Marsh. 28-12-2010 04:29 PM

I can't take Will.I.Am seriously anymore. Honest to god, he has an eye for spotting talentless bints. The first ever time he watched the girls perform was at Judges Houses. Katie doesn't sing a note just cries and begs, Cher croaks through a song and the other girls give between good and great performances. Yet Katie and Cher are the one he picks out as great performers, fresh and whatever else. Surprised he works with a great singer like Fergie with taste like that.

Well said: and as you mentioned, the two females he picked at the judges house: were two of the most unpopular, most disliked. Not the best recommendation - how to pick people that the majority simply do not like.

I'm actually surprised that Fergie would work with him !!

Erm..... clearly that has arisen from the fact that she was mentioned along with Wagner in a newspaper today. Try being less of smart arse Locke and try pay more attention to why I started the thread then you will understand that I chose to mention her BECAUSE of an article that she was included in ... in a newspaper today! The link and the wording on my opening post was a huge step for a hint.

How long have you had that picture of Cher as your desktop background Pyramid?

bbfan1991 28-12-2010 04:42 PM

And:conf:, doing those gigs shows that she cares. Jedward were doing those kind of gigs last year, even Olly too and they've both done better than the winner from last year plus it's took Stacey a year to capitalise on her 3rd place via I'm A Celeb.

She cares because she is a wannabee.... All I'm doing is putting up a thread, with a link that I found amusing. There's the answer to your '...and???:conf:'

Hey, don't get all defensive and pissed off because you were unable to articulate what you meant - funny how some of you on here have a sense of humour when it suits you when you're poking fun at others but you lose that same sense of humour when it's fired right back at you. I'm glad you find me amazing, though I really have to insist that you don't go down on bended knee and worship. There' really no need although the sentiment was nice.

As for the question you asked: you'd be better asking the reporter who supplied the article: if you actually took the time to read it, you will find that the reporter was doing a fair amount of mud slinging in the article. So if you want to know what attracted the critisism of Cher in that article- the article gives you quite a few clues.

bbfan1991 28-12-2010 05:16 PM

^ ALL the X-Factor lot are wannabees, just because Matt won this years show and Rebecca finished second doesn't make them any different to the rest.

Locke. 28-12-2010 05:21 PM

Rebecca is also scheduled to do plenty of club appearances aswell btw

I think my reply was pretty appropiate considering the nature of your response. The "see" really was entirely irrelevant to the post yet you thought you'd try and use it to post a condascending respone while completely missing the point of what I said. Besides we did see her on tv every week and it was from seeing her that we can make a judgement on her voice

I did reas the article and it was what I expected from the Daily Mail, it was a load of biased crap wholly influenced by his unjustified hatred of Cher. And as always the readers lap it up

It's good that they perfrorm at places to meet fans, plus it brings publicity to the venue it is taking part of:). Even people like Alexandra Burke still do PA's now..

Now I don't believe I stated anything to suggest that Cher was the only wannabee ..... of course every single person who even tries out for X Factor is a wannabee. Matt, Leona and every other person who spends hours queuing up way back at audition process.

You along with Locke, MTVN etc, might want to read the article and some of the comments that have been posted - several of which have been in regards to will.i.am having to tweet to raise interest in a song he's knocked up ....with someone he thinks is so special, that he can't even spell Cher's name correctly.

so.... while you're all too busy looking to fault me because I don't like the girl or the noise she makes - it might be a good shout to offer up some comments that pick up on what was posted - along with the link.

Or is it just a wee bit too hard to swallow the possibility that will.i.am in fact, doesn't think enough of Cher to even get her name right?

Locke. 28-12-2010 05:34 PM

I don't need to read the article I was there. It was a gig that she is signed up to perform on due to her contract with X Factor, there were a few hundred people there, almost all of them chating "We Love Cher" when they got told she was backstage, a lot of people wearing "Cher Lloyd" hoodies, and a group of teenage girls had "Cher" written across their foreheads. There is nothing else to say about it really, she came, performed to her fans, done a good job, then got slated by the papers because they have nothing better to print.

Like I said, quite a few of you have a sense of humour when it suits you having a pop at others, but that dies away when it's humour directed at yourselves. And I did in fact answer your question in my last reply to you.

So which newspaper would something have to appear in before you would regard it as unbiased? Which source out there would you take what was written about Cher or anyone else for that matter, as being a wholly non prejudiced viewpoint?

Disliking a person does not equate to hating. I'm never quite sure where or why some of you are able to correlate the two words - how can a person hate someone they have never met? People can, like you, form an opinion - it doesn't have to match yours - nor does the fact that it doesn't match your opinion, make them a 'hater'.

Here lies the reason for not assuming what is written. The article is not about Cher alone. It's actually about several people -your psychic ability appears to have let you down a little.

Good that you enjoyed -but that doesn't detract from the fact that not everyone shares your opinion. As I said, the article discussed various people and had various things to say about Cher (not all critical - some yes, but not all).

Well I'm no reader of OK, but look how they reported it: http://www.ok.co.uk/posts/view/30395...nd-Wagner-take

HERE'S an X Factor 2010 pair we didn't think we'd see together - Cher Lloyd and Wagner!

But X Factor 2010's controversial stars Cher Lloyd and Wagner came together as they both performed at a venue in Birkenhead last night.

With Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson entertaining the crowds at Twickenham and One Direction heading up to Glasgow for their gig, mini Cheryl Cole and Brazilian Wagner hit Pacific Road Arts Centre in The Wirrall.

Cher looked cool in black harem pants, her trademark Doc Martins, a printed tee and a denim jacket as she bopped up and down on stage.

Meanwhile Wagner, who was booed off the show, played to the crowd on a pair of bongo drums as he shook his hips to the music.

All the pair need is to add Katie Waissel to the mix and we reckon that would be a truly bizarre evening...

They just reported what happened, instead of getting caught up on trying to find anything, no matter how minor a detail, to criticise Cher like the Daily Mail did, and as you also did

The thread is about an article in the Daily Mail. One of which subjects happens to be Cher, along with will.i.am, a person who I also referred to in my OP..

since you have either selective memory or selective vision, I've copied my OP here for you - whereby I also make mention of will.i.am and how much he thinks of her and the song they did together, that he couldn't even spell her name correctly.

I'm pleased to show that you are wrong Locke: the thread is NOT about Cher all on her ownsome.

Seeing as you didn't even read the article, it negates anything you have to say really - as you said, you didn't read it - so therefore, you do not even know what the article relates to - and therefore, any comment you would make here, really is erroneous.

Locke. 28-12-2010 06:16 PM

I read the article on The Sun, and from a quick look at the Daily Mail article it is 90% the same thing.

Anyway, you've already been proven to be stupid about 20 times in this thread so I'll call it a day. I've got better things to do than dicuss this with you.

There. Feel better?

One person's opinion doesn't dictate what everyone should feel. I happen to agree with what was written in the DM. You don't.

You happen to agree with what was written by OK Mag. I don't.

Even OK Mag refers to Cher as Mini Cheryl Cole rather than referring to her by her own name, her own right as Cher Lloyd - they're taking the piss as well -or did you miss that bit.?

I'm quite at liberty to criticise. Just as you are to stick up for her.
