Saints Row 3 should be demoed. It was meant to debut at the Spike video game awards last xmas so it's a surefire for E3.

The Wii successor will be there as well. As Soul Calibur 5 is believed to be unveiled next month I'd say they'd make a showing as well as Tekken X Street Fighter/Street Fighter X Tekken. There's also rumours about a 'Super Marvel Vs Capcom 3' being announced.

Since it's coming out in Japan at least by the end of the year I'll be shocked if we don't see anything from FFXIII-2 and possibly Versus although I think that's been given das boot until after XIII-2 comes out.

The new Legend of Zelda will almost definitely be there, there's rumours that they'll announce that they'll be releasing it on the new console as well a la Twilight Princess.

About FF, isn't XIII-2 coming out Winter 2012?

Last I heard it was Winter 2011 for Japan.

Yeah, I reckon they've probably reused a lot of sources from the first one. As long as they don't repeat the same mistakes of XIII though I don't mind. I reckon if the release date sticks we'll probably get it around March, It'd be a similar timeframe to the last one I think.

Yeah, I've been intrigued by Versus for ages, I think it's got the potential to be quite special.

Also on the XIII-2 front, thinking about it the game might have been in development for quite a while. Wasn't the last year or so of it's development spent on the Xbox port? I'm guessing a part of the team could have started work on XIII-2 during that. So that's two and a bit years for when winter rolls around. More then enough time if the engine and graphics system is already in place.

True, I'm glad theres gonna be a sequel, Claire Farron deserved a better game :3 (only people who completed XIII will know who that is xD)

If Snow meets a grizzly end in the first five minutes then this one will instantly be better from the outset. I grew to like Vanille eventually but it was the opposite with Snow, worst FF character ever.

From start to finish he literally never changed while the others actually had an arc. I kept wishing that Hope went through with his original plan.

Talking of Hope, I uh...hope he's in the sequel. I'm in the minority but I liked him I thought he had one of the better stories.

I liked him too, he kinda reminded me of Tidus, but younger

Light was my favourite character, she was just hot :3 then Fang, then Vanille/Snow, then Sazh, the Vanille's robot dog, then Snow. Was just replying the opening the other week, the amount of times Snow mentioned heroes...just made me cringe

I think Light had a lot of potential but for a main character we didn't really know enough about her I thought and by the end of the game Fang and Vanille took the focus away from her. That'll change with this one I think but still.

I suppose lol, I liked Light's old look though xD

Nintendo have a tendency to churn out 'new' consoles almost as much as Apple sends out new iTunes Updates, and just like Apple - the 'new' consoles have barely any difference to the original one that was released about a week ago or something; but of course their silly fans still buy it.

I personally put it down to the fact Rockstar pulled out of E3, everyone was hoping for GTA news or something but then they pulled out.

Yeah well Nintendo haven't exactly been the ones to innovate. They've been lagging far behind Sony & Microsoft in terms of their online infrastructure and general console power. That and the Wii's age is starting to show now that the PS3 and Xbox both have motion gaming. The novelty is wearing off.

But the thing is that Nintendo have just been lazy and haven't really thought through what they've been putting to market *looks at DSi XL, Gameboy Micro, Wii Vitality Sensor*.

I would like to see a vastly improved Wii though. Nintendo do have the creative capacity to be different, they've proved that with the 3DS, but they just don't always put it to use.

Judging by what Nintendo has in store this year, it would be very difficult for them to have a bad conference like '08 and '09. You never know though.

Exciting line-up of games and looks like it will be a great E3, but more new IP's would be nice. However in fairness they're not much of a priority in these preliminary E3 line-up predictions.
