The reason Dick isn't banned btw is because:

It was censored because it was appearing a little too often, and casually, in topic titles. If it gets used too often it cheapens the forum a bit.

Maybe when signing up members are automatically put in the 'filtered' group but they CAN change this if they like?

As far as I know an optional swear-filter isn't really possible on this forum because the censor is applied when the post is stored, not when the post is viewed, unfortunately.

Oh to give my opinion on the swear filter, I don't understand why anyone swears, I don't think it's necessary, ever. It doesn't bother me when people swear, if the swear filter was optional I would turn it off.
