What do you think of BB12 airing in Winter?
 

Was thinking today as I was on a long walk;

We all went on about how it'll be nice to experience a summer without Big Brother and now everyone was like 'Oh now that isn't happening, so we won't have a Summer without BB afterall.'

I can't see CBB8 starting until the first week in August, everyone know's the British Summer begins in May usually, so that's a good 3 Months without BB were as in the past we would of been well and truely into Big Brother.

Anyway,

If CBB8 runs for 4 Weeks then It'll start in the first week of August, probably a Friday or Sunday although I'd imagine Friday the 5th August.

Big Brother 12 will be on for 13 Weeks.
And if it's true that BB12 will begin straight after CBB8 ends, then Big Brother 12's final will be exactly on the 3rd week of November, close to Christmas - infact I hope the house has a Christmas task or something.


But here's my question, what do you think of Celebrity Big Brother & Big Brother swapping places?

Will CBB fit in well with Summer? Or would you rather see the likes of hot BBabes sun bathing, rather than whatever old saggy Actress from the 50s, they get on the show?

Also, I just had a thought - this will be the first time in the history of Big Brother that there'll be a snow fall in a non celebrity version!

That's if it snows.

Oh My God, Halloween will be celebrated in the house for the first time.

I think it is a fantastic idea. CBB in August. And BB September to December. We will have more of a life in the summer. And when it gets the cold miserable nights we will have BB. Hopefully they will build a Jacuzzi!

- Big Brother belongs to Summer, not Celebrity Big Brother - that's always been Winter!
- CBB8 should of just aired in January 2012, honestly.
- Big Brother 12 should of begun in June or July, not that far into Summer.

Do you think they'll have a Jacuzzi?
I suppose - they did have one in CBB3 and CBB4 [even though CBB4's was indoors].

It depends if Channel 5 go all out with the house.

I think it will be better. The Celeb version first than the normal version straight afterwards.

The Celebs from CBB8 will probably want to slag off the normal housemates who go in straight after them! lol

They should build a big Jacuzzi for outside. Imagine if it snowed. Be amazing sitting in the jacuzzi surrounded with snow. :)

the final will be in december there said it would my on very night from august till decenber the final should be 2/12/11

I think they should do the CBB in August(as planned) & have normal BB next summer, it just seems weird having a normal BB at that late in the year, having said all that, it wont stop me watching it.

Well it's going to be weird, that's for sure. But I've just thought...and this is bad actually, obviously during the summer people at school/college and stuff get six weeks worth of days where they can watch Live Feed during the day, but if it's airing September - November, there's only one week off. That's utter sh!t.

And also, with me being in Y11, I'll be getting pretty much June - September off this year, which is annoying cause then I could've watched an entire BB series properly.

By the way the English language states you use a capital letter and a full stop at the beginning of every sentence.

It was bad enough not being able to watch the final full day in the house in September, then again it doesn't matter now to us because it wasn't the final day afterall.

But this is so ******ing stupid.

And then,
They'll probably axe Live Feed for BB13 in Summer and claim 'We didn't get enough viewers last series' like C4 did with BB9's Live Feed.

Ridiculous.

If the series turns out to be utter bollocks, then it won't bother me that much.
But if it does some how, become like the Golden Days again - it'll be hell sitting in school knowing a Big Brother series is going on right now and you can't see it.

The most we'll be able to get is ******ing Twitter updates sent to Mobiles. :(

I think C5 have got balls.... I always wanted one in Winter (but that was before XF & IACGMOOH) I just think that ITV have a monopoly on the winter audiene so if it does fail people shouldnt read to much into it (the XF viewers are huge arent they?) But still at least they're taking risks....

As long as it's back, I really don't mind when it's on.

I'm more likely to watch if it's on in the Winter.

It'll be good to see it in a different season of the year. It means the h/mates won't bore us to death by just sunbathing for 7 hours a day.

I just realised I'll be in my own house then with a TV, I can watch BB with uni people :D

when its summer all they do is lay in the garden and sunbath anyway so would be fun to see what happens

I'm not too bothered really, I don't think it makes much difference. I'm guessing there'll just be more indoor based tasks.

i dont mind just glad its back :) nice to see snow in the house. and people will be missing family alot around that time so some nice drama may happen.

My idea

They should start CBB8 on the third week of August [basically because I'm on a school trip on the first week]

Then BB should go on until Christmas Eve [[Hear me out]]

The house could have a massive advent calendar with suprises behind each day, for instance...

1. Booze
2. One housemate get's a phonecall home
3. Booze
4. Acess to the Christmas Lounge Permit for 2
5. EVICTION!

And there could be suprises in there aswell, for instance December 1st would be 24 days before the final so here's just an idea, it could be a huge opening and a new housemate could jump out!

C5 could really publisise the whole BB CHRISTMAS FINAL thing! I mean that'd be the C5 schedules for the evening...

7:00- BB12 The Best Bits
8:00- BB12 FINAL
10:00- Quiz show of some sort
10:30- THE FINAL [[-11:30]]

I'm in love with my advent calendar idea <3

You would think it would get higher ratings during the winter anyway.

Most people would rather spend the night outside in the summer becuase its a lovely and warm and too hot to stay inside

however during winter people would rather stay in becuase its cold/ gets dark earlier.

I really like the calendar idea, but one major problem is you're asking everyone involved with the show to work through Christmas Eve and put any family/traveling plans aside.

But they could still have something like that, call it the "Big Brother Advent Calendar" and just have it lead to the final in mid-December.

Hmmm or it could go up to December 20th-ish :)

More people sat at home in the evenings in the winter rather than going out so i think its a blessing for the ratings tbh.

I like the change:), gives us something to watch during winter. Also those who have a holiday during summer can enjoy their break without being worried about what BB stuff they have missed, and everyone can generally enjoy the summer whatever they are doing.

Channel 5 should really keep us all waiting even longer for Big Brother to begin... because Joe has a school trip.

You have a school trip that lasts for 2/3 weeks? As if.

It lasts a week from 5th-12th [ish] of August.
