Brian Dowling was a decent gay guy!

daniel-lewis-1985 09-04-2011 11:12 AM

Put me in :)

Claymores 09-04-2011 11:16 AM

I used to think BB in early days was a social expirement gameshow of personality, not sexuality.

It became gay freaks like seal-boy, transexuals like Nads, hairy wonker blokes like Marcus, wannabees like that awful Channelle and Ziggy.

A zoo rather than a social experiment.

Are you applying? There was a rumour that maybe the public will get to vote who goes in this time.
If you were a candidate,I am sure people on this forum would throw plenty votes your way to help get you in,I would certainly.

joeysteele 09-04-2011 11:26 AM

Hopefully some decent women will be put in this year too though.

Hey LK - that percentage used to change each day  When 90% pregnant @ 7 months for her 2nd child it was 90% - I think she moved percentage each day which was "thrilling"

True but I would love to see a gay guy that isn't super camp for once. The really camp ones just make wanna go in the house with a shotgun and evict them from life. :bored:

BB_Eye 09-04-2011 11:47 AM

Pfft, the so-called "sideshows" are normally the entertaining ones, unless you would prefer more Marios.

Good call Naill - I'm not in life anti-gay - but that guy seal-boy in BB6 made me feel homophopic things. Richard (BB7) rescued it - he was EXCELLENT

Yeah some of them are really over the top and it makes them unbearable to watch.

I loved Richard too. He was so funny, he was a really warm person too.

He was a fave Naill - I hope we get more like him

Locke. 09-04-2011 11:59 AM

No. Some good looking girls are more important.

Richard was brilliant

I agree they need to stop putting 'stereotypical' gay guys in. I know a lot of gays ARE camp as hell, but a lot also arent. They also need to put a 'girly' lesbian in, instead of stereotypical butch ones :/

Stacey. 09-04-2011 12:15 PM

Yeah, more people like Brian Dowling

I'd love for some non-camp, hot gay guys and non-butch lezzes to go in. :D

Chuck 09-04-2011 03:55 PM

-hates Brian Dowling with a passion-

Marco BB5

Couldn't agree more.

The more I read on this site : the more it seems that BB 'fans' just want to see sex (straight / gay /bi)( and weirdos on Big Brother.

IMO - it's precisely this type of demand that was the downfall of Big Brother. It's now a show for those who simply can't live without attention and stop at nothing to get it.

I'm pretty sure there are plenty of DVDS out there to satisfy those who want to view such things.

bananarama 09-04-2011 09:41 PM

The determining factor for housemates should be their personality potential in a BB environment. Selecting people on the basis of sexuality or race for that matter turns the program into a propaganda vehicle for different groups in society........Each group demanding representation and if they get it the reality show is distorted into a side show for minority groups.......

Marsh. 09-04-2011 09:49 PM

1) Who's seal-boy? lol

2) Richard from BB7 was one of the campest the show has seen, nobody remember his gloves and dressing as Madonna (or Marilyn Monroe, can't remember now). How is that not stereotypical?

Sod_James 09-04-2011 10:26 PM

They should put some gay guys in. but normal ones like me. Not them fake way over the top camp ones that you just wanna slap.

ILoveTRW 09-04-2011 10:26 PM

JD = Best reality gay guy ever.
Not noticeably gay but definitely ****ed up in the head.
Just imagine if this happened on Big Brother, although I doubt they would be able to get the Hudson River and Statue of Liberty as their backdrop.
.

Smithy 09-04-2011 10:27 PM

They need to put people in based on their personality...not on their sexuality..

Oh of course because later that season Ryan (the guy in the beanie) gets a phone call from his family telling him that he has been called back to iraq and mtv definitely set it up with the US military and had him spend a year of his life in Iraq and made him post videos on youtube to make sure it looked completely real.

This site seems to attract the minority who really enjoy the freakshow type people :p

:pat: I'm talking about these filmed fights you idiot.

These perfectly "choreographed" arguments and blow ups. Far from the Real World.

well actually it not perfectly choreographed because at 1:00 on that video he rips the phone from her hands and then walks out the room and then it suddenly cut to him walking towards that room.

Ah, so you're now pointing out to me some bad editing which could be down to a possible reshoot of this "scene"? So you agree with me? No?

Besides, you know I'm right because a disclaimer on the programme even admits "some scene were created for entertainment purposes only".

This boy has made me laugh, and cry, and laugh and cry some more.

For CBB I want Chris Crocker and Scott Mills. Chris Crocker to be the camp internet celeb type gay, and Scott Mills because he's quite chilled really and think he could be successful

I can't stand the little maggot but he'd be sure to cause drama. His profession as 'Internet celebrity' hasn't been covered before and Channel 5 could so afford him :)
