Brian Dowling V Emma Willis!

Brian Dowling V Emma Willis!

I reckon it's between these 2 for the BB host job.

You may not want either of them to present.. but if you had to.. who would you pick to be the host?

Brian? Emma? Or both??

Beastie 11-04-2011 12:10 AM

Now thinking about it. I don't think Brian would be suitable enough on his own. But I think a Brian and Emma combination could be better than Emma hosting on her own.

Therefore I think it should be both of them. If not.. then Emma on her own!

Doogle 11-04-2011 12:12 AM

I think it would work. They would almost balance each other out..

Stacey. 11-04-2011 12:12 AM

Both.

But if it could only be one of them, then I'd choose Emma because I think she'd suit the role more.

Glenn. 11-04-2011 12:13 AM

I don't think two hosts would work very well. Who would talk to the house? Both of them?
I think Emma on her own will do just fine.

Zippy 11-04-2011 12:15 AM

Brian on his own would look cheap and amateur. He just doesnt have the experience or status to carry a big new show. As a sidekick he may be tolerable.

Kerry 11-04-2011 12:17 AM

Love Brian but he flaps too much, so Emma

Jordan. 11-04-2011 12:20 AM

Emma, Brian is horrible to watch. I didn't even know he was a presenter.

Indeed. That sums him up in a nut shell.......With the emphasis on the word "nut"

penguinposse 11-04-2011 12:46 AM

I like Brian, but not as a presenter..Emma FTW

Tony1111 11-04-2011 01:05 AM

I don't like Brian one bit he is too attention seeking and would probably talk over the top of poor Emma and make the interviews about his time in the house like he so often does. I'd imagine a question like "Tell us a bit about your time in the house?" and Brian would start refering to his stay and comparing the two.

CharlieO 11-04-2011 02:21 AM

id prefer emma because se deserves it as she has allways been a bb fan. brian has slagged it off in the past. and i also think he is too self consious

Natalie. 11-04-2011 06:23 AM

Both, guess it wouldn't work though so Emma!

joeysteele 11-04-2011 07:28 AM

Personally,I prefer Emma, and hope she does get it, I would not though be disappointed if Brian got it either as I think he,with his internal knowledge of BB also has a lot to offer as Presenter too.
Somehow though, I doubt a man would get the job, this time round anyway.

How can a man who has literally thousands of hours of presenting experience not be experienced enough :conf:.

This I agree with what you say 100%

I say Emma as she is a massive fan off the show, however saying that Im not sure how she would do with a live audience.... shes very quiet.

That was davinas strength... she was great as a presenter, but poor as the interviewer of the housemates. On the other hand Emma is a good interviewer.

Suze 11-04-2011 10:08 AM

Neither really, someone new and fresh is needed, but if I had to choose out of the two, then most definitely Emma then. I am probably one of the few who can't stand Mr 'could my head get any bigger' Brian Dowling.

Niall 11-04-2011 10:19 AM

Emma >>>>>>

Princess 11-04-2011 10:27 AM

Definitely Emma.

BigBrotherfan4ever 11-04-2011 10:30 AM

Emma for the main show, & if the do a type BBLB show Brian for that.

Mac Hiavellian 11-04-2011 10:41 AM

I'll say both. Emma for the main shows, Brian for BBLB type spin offs then I'll be a happy chap :D

dizzy bint 11-04-2011 10:46 AM

I think both of them sharing the main job and any spin off could be quite nice. They get on really well together.

OMG, you've been a member since 2002 but only have 378 posts? Fascinating.

I hated in BB10 when there was the panel of interviewers on eviction nights but I think Brian and Emma as a double team could actually work quite well when talking to the evictee. It wouldn't seem so much like a gang, but they'd ask the nitty gritty questions and still make the HM feel a bit at ease

InOne 11-04-2011 11:09 AM

Emma. No Ex HM hasbeens please.

CharlieO 11-04-2011 11:20 AM

davina was personable and viewers seemed like she actually cared for them and was a real person. we need someone like that.

Why so? I only post when I feel strongly about something. I probably made next to no posts during BBs 7,8,9 and 11 as they did not interest me.

With regarding to a presenting duo of Brian and Emma, I was thinking more in terms of one of them doing some bits and the other the other bits. Perhaps vice versa sometimes. It would be interesting if the housemates were unaware which of them would interview them when they came out.

I found it interesting so I looked at a couple of your old posts. You seem very passionate about Brian Dowling and I found it interesting you didn't like BB3 so much. At this point I feel obliged to direct you to Daniel Lewis' BB3 Re-watching thread :D

No one blames you for the overrated BB7 or damaging BB8, but maybe I liked BB9 and 11 for what they tried to do and for what they were.

I would personally rather they both be there at the same time rather than swapping every so often. I think the multiple/guest presenters of BBBM is partly why that show suffered. And also because Emma and Brian are both big fans of the show (and Emma was an obvious Brian fan) they could work well together

:) We all have series we loved, liked and hated I suppose. I enjoyed series 4 and series 6 which I know a lot of people didn't. The thing I remember most about BB3 is the total lack of meaningful tasks for what seemed like weeks... very tedious.

I think they would work well together in any form. In the end the decision isn't ours and we shall probably find that Desmond ignores all reasonable advice and gives the job to one of his glamour models.

I have a certain respect for series 4 because some of the tasks were better than BB3's and there were a few twists like the double eviction, Africa exchange, Jon Tickle's return and the Rewards Room was great. I think it just coulda done with more livelier HMs or even if the eviction order had been different. BB6 was great and I think I prefered it to BB7. True, the HMs were a bit dislikable but I suppose they were entertaining.

Well, if the recent reports are to be believed he wants to move BB away from the fame hungry, freakish and glamour model type contestants so perhaps he'll have a nice presenter too. :)

Niamh. 12-04-2011 10:52 AM

I would much rather Brian did, just because I find him so funny and would love to see him on my TV screen. Having said that I do quite like Emma as well, I think she will more than likely get the job but I hope they give Brian some kind of a slot on it as well

I feel the same Niamh, i hope they have BLBB type show, so Brian can do that.

Lee. 12-04-2011 11:01 AM

Brian by a mile!

MTVN 12-04-2011 11:03 AM

Where is the "neither" option :bored:

Josy 12-04-2011 11:35 AM

I do like Brian, but in small doses as he can be quite irritating sometimes imo, so out of those two I would like it to be Emma.

Although Emma would be my choice I am surprised to see so many wanting her to be Presenter too on here.
