My phone has been put in the washing machine :bawling::bawling::bawling::bawling::bawling::bawl ing::bawling::bawling::bawling::bawling::bawling:

I took like at least 50 pictures yesterday :bawling::bawling::bawling::bawling:

I was gunna have a new profile picture:bawling::bawling::bawling::bawling::bawlin g:

seriously though im so upset, I could cry. not going to get my hopes up, but is there anything to do that might save it?

Lee. 14-04-2011 12:26 PM

Erm.. I doubt it, but you could let it dry out and it may work again. I know somebody whos phone came back to life after being "drpped" in a bacardi and coke.

I feel your pain.. I'd be gutted!

arista 14-04-2011 12:27 PM

Take the Battery out.

Lee. 14-04-2011 12:29 PM

No! no!

dont take the batter our anything out.Just leave it for a few days

Novo 14-04-2011 12:29 PM

Yeah take the battery out and blow it with a hairdryer

Ninastar 14-04-2011 12:31 PM

I already have done :bawling: its sitting out in the heat because there are no radiators here

Novo 14-04-2011 12:32 PM

You have probably saved it then

Jords 14-04-2011 12:37 PM

Mum did this on Mothers' Day, a few hours in the airing cupboard and 2 days switched off and then it worked... good luck lmao (yn)

Ninastar 14-04-2011 12:41 PM

if it ends up working I will become Christian and go to church every sunday

T* 14-04-2011 02:46 PM

Put it in a bowl of rice. (Dry). It dries it out. Don't ask me how, but it does!

Boothy 14-04-2011 02:51 PM

Dry it slowly. Don't use a hairdryer or anything, that pushes the water deeper intot he phone.

_Seth 14-04-2011 02:53 PM

Yeah take the battery out and leave it.

Stacey. 14-04-2011 03:11 PM

Leave it in the airing cupboard

Niall 14-04-2011 03:34 PM

I heard putting a wet phone in a box of rice is really good for drying it out.

i dropped my phone in water once and left it to dry and it worked.. but then it got all mucked up and all the buttons would take you to the wrong thing. it was so annoying.

Glenn. 14-04-2011 04:36 PM

Put it in the tumbledryer?

Someone told me to do that after my phone fell into a toilet but I never got to try it, I did wrap it in a towel and leave it on a radiator. It worked the next day but sometimes the buttons would do nothing until I took the battery out and put it back in.

Yeah it might just work now but it will die if you dont switch it off and dry it out properly.

Take the battery out and leave it a few days in the airing cupboard or in rice etc.

Happened to my daughter, she dropped it in the bath, put it in the airing cupboard overnight, switched it on the next day and it worked, I told her to switch it off and leave it to dry out properly. She didnt listen and it died totally two days later.

Oh and the really good thing is water ingress isnt covered by warrantee and some insurances dont cover it either. So now her shiny new I-phone 4 is a dead shiny new I-phone

Ninastar 14-04-2011 09:02 PM

why thank you claudia  seriously though Idec about the sunburn!

I will tonight though

Make sure you take the battery out. that way there is no power to any circuitry, sometimes alrms etc still have power when the phones off.
